I eat here about once a week at lunch as I work around the corner. The boudin balls with the remoulade sauce is great. Not a bad old fashioned either.
A wonderful dining experience! Great food, friendly wait staff. We will visit Huck's Place again. Well worth the price. All five of us ordered something different and everything was so good.
My wife and I shared a prime rib and baked potatoes this evening. The meat and potatoes were good. The menu said it came with horseradish sauce. When it was not brought with the meal, I asked for some. Our waitress said they were making it. She offered to bring some horseradish, which I took. This was fresh and tasty, but I thought it odd they were not prepared to serve a menu selection the way it was described. The rest of our service was excellent.
Had dinner here with a co-worker and our meals were pretty good. The service was a bit slow, but friendly. I had the Crawfish Enchiladas, which I found to be a interesting and tasty Cajun Tex-Mex fusion dish, and the Turnip Greens, which needed some vinegar, were just OK. Overall, the place was alright and I would return if I'm ever back in Columbus.
Nice surprise in downtown Columbus, MS. Atmosphere is cozy pub style casual. Ordered fried green tomatoes and red beans and rice. Both were very tasty. Fried green tomatoes were covered with a remoulade sauce that was good but would probably get on the side next time. Red beans and rice were seasoned well and served in a good portion size. Will visit again, have plenty of items on the menu that peaked my interest.
The ambiance downstairs for dinner is way better than upstairs. The food is excellent and there's a great selection of wine.
One of the best steaks around.. You can't go wrong with Huck's. MMMMMMM the fried crawfish tails are awesome.
Kitchen Closed. We love the food at this place and everything about it, but we just showed up at 8:18 pm and the hostess told us the kitchen was already closed and offered for us to have some drinks at the bar. :(
Me and my fiance go here very seldom mainly because it is so expensive. The food is amazing and the service is always good. The bar area is a little loud and uncomfortable to be around with all of the screaming men, but other than that if you sit away from the bar, it's a good experience. It is more of a special occasion place for us. I usually order the fried chicken covered in sweet syrup and with cashews on top. It is quite delicious. The mashed potatoes are good and I love the fried crawfish tails appitizer.
This place is a treasure! We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. The redfish and the crawfish were great. You have to try the boudin balls! The restaurant is located in an old downtown building and still has the atmosphere about it. Parking can be a little dicey, so you may have to park around the corner or down a block or two. If you are in Columbus, MS, I highly recommend you stopping in for a bite to eat.
Took my lovely wife for shrimp and grits to celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary. The food is completely worth the wait! Walked the block window shopping, makes the time pass quickly. Beautiful scenery as you see in our photo 😊
I had the pleasure of being with a large group at Hucks for dinner. We were served quickly and most effectively. Every person enjoyed their order. Food was hot and delicious and at a very reasonable price.
We had a really nice dinner here. Loved the building and the story it told!! Little bit of a wait not bad pretty popular place. Food was fantastic only complaint was the waiter was a little out of place for the experience, he could have been alot more professional
Wow! We were both very impressed with our meals. We had the boudin balls as an appetizer, my wife had the Southside Fried Chicken and I had the Redfish Ponchartrain. Everything was delightful, even the service! We were too full for dessert but will definitely be back!
