Irie Jamerican Cuisine

Does anyone know what's up over there? WHY IS HE CLOSED? I hope it's because he's moving to another location or something. Anything other than this is a hit to not only this community but to those who will make an hour+ drive to Irie's. The food is only one part of the experience. Those who have been coming for a long time return for a reason. Please, anyone that knows what is going on please post. Good jamaican food and a very nice guy.

Hustle side of Columbus. Other people have had security issues so I was weary. The menu is not clear. Its not the greatest looking place at all. It took forever so call ahead if you can.i waited almost an hour but I also did have a big order But the food was banging. Oxtail, goat, chicken. It was all delicious

Today was my first time trying this place. Not from Columbus recently moved here from the DMV. I got the oxtails and cabbage and my husband got jerk Chicken with rice cabbage and beans. After, my husband tasted the food he kindly went in his wallet and pulled out exactly $23 (that's how much our food cost) and said to "Don't worry bout cooking tomorrow go back to this place and get some more of that 🤣. Great job fellas see ya tomorrow 😊

The best Jamaican food in Columbus. Definitely a scary neighborhood...so order ahead and take it with you or talk to the owner and let him know what you think, Irie is his name and he does amazing work on a grill. If you want the seafood, order 30 minutes ahead. Parking is almost non-existent. So park right in front of the driveway for pick-up. They were only taking cash when I stopped by, so I went to the N&N market 2 blocks up for cash at the ATM ($1 fee). I bought ox tail, goat curry, red snapper, plaintains and chicken curry. I also picked up Champagne Kola, Orange, and Grape drinks. To my disappointment, they had just run out of Jerk Chicken. We will definitely try that next time. We sat at the picnic table outside and thoroughly enjoyed everything. Our favorite was the Ox tail, but everything was outstanding.

First experience ordering from here. They are cash only. The food was absolutely wonderful. The food is a bit spiced, as my hubby stated, but he also has very low tolerance for anything the least bit spicey. For me it was perfect and wonderful. The staff was very polite and friendly. The place is small with outdoor seating. Menu is vey simple, but the food is robust. I ordered a variety of things for my family to try. Cant wait to try more of their menu.

Excellent small Jamaican carry-out location serving curry, brown stew, and jerk chicken, plus ox tails, fish and shrimp. Medium size chicken dishes are $8 and are huge, $10 large portions can feed two people. Chicken dishes are exceptional. Jerk is spicy but not inedibly hot, while ox tails are succulent and rich. Stewed cabbage is to die for. Owners are welcoming and kind. Highly recommended for fans of West Indian food.
