We really just came for the coffee. But we were delightfully surprised. They have daily selections of cupcakes (today was orange Marmalade, Smores, and Old Fashioned), and you can even buy a bag of yesterday's cinnamon rolls at $1 a piece.
We ended up getting Lavender Lattes.
I popped in here one morning for a latte and breakfast sandwich. The maple biscuit was really good by itself: thick, sweet, and buttery. The sausage and egg were pretty average/basic. Overall, the sandwich gets a 7 out of 10 from me. The latte was somewhere between average and pretty good. It's a nice little shop with friendly staff and a couple seats by the window. I didn't go the cupcake route, but it seems like they're just as popular for food/drinks as for cake orders. They take pride in their cinnamon rolls, so definitely be better than me and try when when you go!
Decided to go here with my dad on a weekend trip, we ordered the seasonal oatmeal, everything biscuit, and the jalapeño cheddar biscuit. Everything was delicious, the oatmeal was very unique it tasted like a moist cinnamon raisin bread.
But my biggest praise has to be the matcha latte. Matcha lattes are always a hit or miss because many places go with a cheap grade of matcha to save money, as higher quality matcha is expensive. I felt adventurous today so I tried my luck and I didn’t regret it at all! This taste just like matcha lattes I make at home, very high quality with a nice dark green color. I was very impressed!
After running into Pistacia Vera, we stopped into Kittie's for a quick drink. This is a really cute bakery & cafe within German Village. The inside is small, but it has a good layout and was really clean. The employee who waited on me was friendly and personable.
I ordered a chai latte, which was ready in just a matter of minutes. It was delicious! Good flavor, not super rich - a really good chai latte! The next time I'm in Columbus, I will definitely stop by Kittie's again.
The place feels modern and fresh with fresh baked treats all on display at the counter. The breakfast sandwiches on fresh baked biscuits are delicious! The scones were so tempting I had to take some home as well. Well worth riding your bike too and grabbing a table outside, enjoy your breakfast and chat with your friends... from a safe distance of course. The customers are respectful and wait patiently in line outside as customers enter one at a time to place their order.
I always stop here for breakfast and coffee, never fails to start my day right! Love it!
Desserts are delicious and well priced. The coffee could've been better.
UPDATE: Get the Iced Green Tea with honey and lavender syrup. It was so refreshing! Also this time I have photos!!
I usually got to the branch in Bexley but I visited here today for the first time. Parking is not easy as this branch is in German village.
I usually visit to Kittie's when I'm craving for a scone!! Personally, I'm not a scone lover but their scone is an exception. Their scone is very flavory and having texture like both of rustling and soft. And, the jam on it is really nice! That's why I like their scone. Recommend to try it!!
Cramped location, but the products are quality. The emoyees are friendly and knowledgeable. I recommend it to anyone who doesn't mind navigating the area around it.
Do you know how happy it makes me to see a spot in Columbus serving my favorite Portland coffee? Now when I'm homesick, I will know where to go. I'll also have to try some food.
