Not sure what others are reviewing Summer 2023, but the Hilltop Dairy Twist is closed every time I drive by when they are supposedly open. Appears to be temporarily or permanently closed. It *was* a great place. Hope the owners are okay, or that this place comes back. One of the few bright spots on the west side.

This place isn't trying to be instagrammable or trendy. They've been open since I was a kid and it's one of my favorite places to go. It's not gourmet food or ice cream, but you leave happy. This place is about community, and for the community. It feels like one of the last establishments on earth like it.

I'm always happy when I go to this ice cream shop! Its always a fun time! The employees are happy and they do a great job! I would give em more than 100 stars if it was possible! They deserve it. I just wish they were open all year except that of what they are. I can't wait! Bet I'll be there opening day!

This is an interesting ice cream spot.
The ice cream here is ok. It was more icy than creamy. I prefer creamier ice cream. The prices are reasonable.
This is a cash only location.
It is a bit difficult to enjoy your ice cream here since it is right on Sullivant Ave and the traffic is non-stop.
They do have a drive through that seems to run pretty efficiently.

This little place has great ice cream, and their food is fantastic. I would recommend this place to anyone who like food and ice cream. They make so many different flavors it is hard to choose. Stop by with the family,or your significant other. You will not be disappointed with anything but the wait when it is busy. Still worth every second you spend in line. Absolutely delicious. Enjoy. I know I will be all summer.

Drove by while I was going to a friend's and had to go. My friend and I walked down for dinner. I had a foot long coney and pineapple milkshake. It was good. They have a big sign that says cash only. If you don't see it and need cash there is an ATM right there. Go get some ice cream and make some memories

We absolutely love the old school Hilltop Dairy twist. So many flavors of soft serve, sundaes, and blizzard like creations as well as hot food. Reasonably priced. Order at the window!! It's faster. Great staff. We love to come here. Image of a maple walnut flavored sundae with Carmel sauce and pecans. As of this post, that sundae is $2.40 which you can't beat for a price!

The Dairy Twist is a West Side Institution! I love it so much. They are cheap, delicious, and they have so many options, both for snacks and ice cream! Also their staff is always super kind and patient, even when I get overwhelmed by choices and can't figure out what I want. 😂

First time eating here since the early 80s, while I don't recall much from back then, I loved the amount of flavors of soft serve offered when we stopped in today.
Employees were polite, and even joked with us while we were looking at the menu. Loved the icecream!!! And the prices and size were a relief as we stop for ice cream other places and pay much more.
Def going to go back for more!
