Got a 20in BBQ pulled pork without the coleslaw. Dined in. When I received the sandwich, it was beautiful, extremely hot to the touch, but when folded in half, there were cold spots. I think it was the onions, though, as my brother had the same but as a 10 inch, and his sandwich had cold spots in similar locations, so we can only assume it was the onions. Personally, it's still a great sub/sandwich, but for my own tastes , I don't like cold onions.
This was excellent. I have not had Grinders in years, and this was better than I remembered. Our sandwiches were large, hot, and fresh, and didn’t cost very much, with a side of marinara sauce which was super tasty. I also had the house salad which was yummy and worth the drive. Will be returning soon.
We make a special trip to stop at Grinders anytime we are going to or through Columbus and they are becoming harder to find. This location is top notch… very clean, up to date and food was amazing. We had the Italian grinder & then split a no bake cookie. Their display case of salads & desserts looked very fresh & appetizing. Brought back good memories when Grinders was on campus in the late’80’s.
Love this place. Employees are all friendly and polite. They were all busy preparing orders and stocking. You would hear a little giggle but so quiet and I loved it.
Love the Atmosphere here. It's chilled and laid back with decor to enjoy looking at while you eat or wait for your food. Employees are always super nice. I recommend the Buffalo Chicken Stromboli. I request to have NO onions. Add Banana peppers and extra Mozzarella cheese. And Ranch for the dipping sauce! Yummy in my tummy!!!
I haven't been to a Grinders in many years but it was always my favorite sandwich place in town going all the way back to the old campus shop circa 1990.
This was an excellent experience all around. The food was perfect. I had the baked chicken grinder and cheddar macaroni salad as this was one of my favorites from back in the day and it didn't disappoint.
There are several new items I've never had before like pizza & Stromboli as well as soups and even desserts that I will be trying out in the future as well.
The restaurant was very clean and the staff was friendly.
I also had the opportunity to meet the owner, Nick, and he seemed like a super guy. You can tell by how well-run the establishment is that he's clearly a conscientious owner who cares.
Thanks for still being great after 32 years!
I was so pleasantly surprised with how delicious, and perfectly prepared my stromboli was. It was the perfect amount of cheese and meats and the breading was absolutely delicious. I also don't usually like Mariana and I loved theirs and their ranch is perfection. The staff was super friendly and on top of everything and it was nice to see a team of younger kids working so well together. They were literally cleaning the store from head to toe and helping each other and the customers out. Also added bonus was they are super affordable, and their desserts options were plentiful and delicious. We got peanut butter fudge, no bake cookies, chocolate chip cookies, a chocolate bundt cake that was a little dry, and a slice of banana foster that was delicious. And all that only came to 15.00 for all the dessert 😳.
LOVE the all beef meatball sub from here!
A lot of places mix pork & other things with their meatballs.
WG Grinders is just consistently amazing! Food is made hot & fresh each order.
And you HAVE to try their home made sugar cookies w/icing + no-bake cookies OMG unbelievable. I’m pretty picky about buying cookies bc they’ll taste like store bought but these taste the exact opposite. So perfect!!!
Staff is always awesome and so friendly!!
We stopped for a late lunch and had the original Italian and meatball subs. We both had a combo with cheddar Mac. Everything was very good. I recommend leaving the Italian off the bread that they do for most subs.
This place is awesome. Plus there is a really cute red headed lady that works there. 10/10
