Review Outback Steakhouse - Columbus

This place is actually way better than it’s current rating of 3.9-Stars as of 7/24/23. There must be some locals or out-of-towers with unreasonable expectations. It’s a steakhouse and the food is good quality, the service is timely, and the Draft Beer Taps are Clean, Fresh and Cold; and they have Fosters on Tap !!!

Waitress was very nice and attentive. Food was very good.

Food was good as always but service was awful. Took 10 minutes or longer for server to come to us (restaurant not busy) for drink orders. We were ready for food orders too but asked us to wait as her handheld device wasn't working. Ten mins later we had to ask again for drinks. Eventually took food order. Had to ask for bread. It was at least half hour before food arrived. When I asked for check it was incorrect...twice. I usually tip generously but did not feel it was warranted this time.

I ordered a smoked T-bone, full of ritual sense! It is very delicious, the meat is very tender, and it has reached the medium rare I want! The lack of one star is because the sirloin I ordered for my friend was clearly required to be medium rare, but it was cooked like dry firewood. Of course, a very user-friendly remake was made. The waiting time is very long, even if you just open the door, you still have to wait for more than 30 minutes to eat delicious steaks when there are no customers...

When my daughter specifically requested Outback Steakhouse for her birthday 8th  dinner, I was shocked to say the least. Not only was it a 90s staple that we had all once loved, but had also long lost its reputation. I was also very perplexed how she how came about this about decision. Like most siblings, her older brother is the complete opposite and refuses to eat most forms of meat. To complicate things even further, my mom is known for having issues when dining out and steak was something that was never made right for her, always having a reason to complain. Knowing I had a party of 8, Sunday evening, a birthday girl, difficult parents, a picky son and I am habitually late, I made the wise decision to call ahead when they opened. The restaurant doesn’t “take reservations” but would for large parties, like in this case. I made a call ahead for 5:00pm, giving us enough time to wait around. Already off to a great start. Unbeknownst to me, we somehow arrive a few minutes early, despite the location being about 15 minutes across town. We passed Texas Roadhouse about a mile before and were shocked to see a huge wait with the parking lot full, and people overflowing outside. To say we were blown away was an understatement. We quickly devoured the classic blooming onion before I ever even got a chance to take a picture. It may be a million calories and it’s worth every single one if cooked perfectly. My incredibly picky son ordered a double order of mac and cheese declared it to be the best he ever had. Everyone tried to get a taste, but he guarded it with his life and the knife the restaurant provided him. Most importantly, every single steak was cooked perfectly. Everyone knows by now, or should know, since the pandemic the service industry is struggling with not only supply chain issues but retention of workers. I say this because when you are waited on by someone who has made a career out of food service, it’s noticeable. This was one of those times. Braylin (sp?) was honestly one of the best waiters I have ever had! From the moment we arrived he was spot on with every detail. Water glasses were always filled, soup and salad came perfectly time between appetizers, and his smile never left his face when my mom swore she ordered her steak medium rare, not rare or when my dad complained that he “meant” to order his daiquiri blended, not on the rocks. You better believe I tipped well. Overall great experience and a rare 5/5 given. We made sure to make an early reservation of 5:00pm to allow for lots of time for a large party. We called ahead and something I would highly recommend for groups of 6 or more as the restaurant quickly filled up within the hour. Looking forward to our next visit #gesikagetsout

My son surprised me and took me here tonight! I Loved it as usual. I'm so upset I can't remember our server's name. He was so friendly! He really did a great job. We sat in the bar area and it was between 5 and 6pm, just in case the manager reads this and knows what his name is. I apologize that I can't remember. I would love to give him the praise for how good he was. If I can remember you can bet the next time we go I will personally ask for him to be our server. If it doesn't come to me and I see him I will ask for him. The food was great as always and he made our visit better!

You can't beat the "Onion Blossom" for and appetizer! Got the "Blossom Burger" with fries. Maybe a bit too much "Blossom" for the day, but still good!

Great experience all around. Service was fantastic and I was greeted with nothing but smiles from the staff. Ribeye was very flavorful and cooked to perfection! Will definitely be back.

My husband and I decided to come to this restaurant for date night tonight. The environment was nice, casual, not very loud, kind of sport like. The food was pretty tasty, I got a parmesan crusted chicken with mashed potatoes and my husband got a pork dish. Both tasted very good, I did wish I would've gotten something green though. We also got a brown dessert, something down under? It was a lot better than I expected it to be. The pricing for everything was fair, the steak was a bit expensive I thought.

My fiance and I had an amazing time at this location. We stopped in at 8:48pm on a Sunday 12 minutes till closing. The staff didn't turn us away which was shocking they invited us in. Everyone was so welcoming and polite. Our server ANDREW was the best he didn't rush us He was very patient, he provided excellent customer service. Our food was fresh, hot and on point. This has to be the best location around. Thx Andrew and to the whole outback staff who worked the night of 6/5/22 we appreciate you all. We'll definitely be back soon.

Sydney is fantastic, super friendly! We love the quality of food for the price at Outback. Our favorite chain for dinner and this location is one of the best.

Our server went above and beyond for mother's day. I was obviously having a very difficult day and our server was so understanding and gave us space when needed. At the end of our visit he brought me flowers from himself and the manager wishing me a better day. I was such a mess and didn't catch any names, but thank you for doing your best to make my mother's day better.

Not only did it take us almost 2 hours from the time we sat at our table to get through our meal, but my rare steak was more like medium/medium well and our server was nice but seemed swamped with no help from anyone. Our server was so slow and we had to ask 3 times for silverware. Management was nowhere to be seen, and for how busy it was, they should have been helping their staff. I doubt we will be back. It has really gone down hill...

We have been going to this location since 2009. The food and service used to be great! It is where we went for special occasions. We were just their yesterday for my birthday and the food and service were terrible. The all you can eat shrimp were cold when they came out, appetizers came after the entrees and a meal for one of us wasn’t brought until after everyone else was almost done eating. In the end, they reduced our bill and gave us a free dessert, but overall, it didn’t make up for the terrible meal.

The service was horrible. I ordered a medium steak and they gave me well done. When i went to return it the waiter wanted to disagree. Drinks were never refilled. The waiter put the food order wrong. Asparagus instead of mashed potatoes. Not happy.

Long wait time,lousy food,steak was over cooked and over seasoned.They were out of the side dish my fiancé ordered.The waiter was not very friendly either.I wouldn't recommend or return.

Theo is the best server we’ve ever had here and that’s not a slam on the other servers. We always get good service but he went above and beyond.

Our waiter was awesome. He was at our table right away. Great service food was perfect! Never had to ask for refills or a box to take our food home. We will be back.

I never been to outback before and I love it! My food was so good and we had a amazing waiter! He was nice and friendly! I telling everyone I know to eat at outback if they r ever in Columbus!

Took the wifey for her birthday, our steaks came out fast were cooked perfectly, server was very polite and courteous and gave a piece of cheesecake for free to the wifey.

We were seated in about half the 30 minute wait time and that's where the good experience stopped. They were coming off a Thursday night rush and never seemed to get caught up. It took us 10 minutes to get our drinks and another 12 after that until our server made it back around to stop and take our dinner order despite passing our table 3 times. Our Bloomin' Onion was served in a pool of its own grease and it took 1/2 hour to get our salads and my husbands was wrong. During this time, I had to ask 3 times for silverware. We got the silverware as our entrees arrived. My husband ordered the 16 oz prime rib and 1/3 of it was hard gristle and inedible. Such an incredibly disappointing experience for the cost.

There was nothing surprisingly good about this place! I was expecting more out of the experience ! I've had better steak and sides and competitors places!! I've ate there and will never go back!! Waitress was nice but just overall experience wasn't there for me !!

First time I went was 9 months ago food was horrible. This time service was great, my burger was cooked med. & not well done. However at end of meal my cousin found hair in her fries. Although it was better than 9 months ago will probably not go back again.

The family and I went last night and we had a great time. The food was great. Forgot to give us our utensils but was given to us when the salads showed up. But other than that it was perfect. Will return again.

Wanted my steak to be medium-well. It was medium at best. Service was good. and the rest of the meal was good.
