This place is really authentic and I’d definitely come back again ordering everything from their menu. Di San Xian tastes just like how you’d taste it from the northern part of China. Grilled fish has none spicy options with few bones in the fish (that’s how you know they use good quality fish). The one-star reviews about how people missed the old restaurant’s General Tao’s Chicken and Beef Broccoli are unfair. You don’t come to this restaurant for American Chinese food when you can get it from Panda Express. Try something different! This is a modern authentic Chinese restaurant and I’m glad to find this gem in Columbus, Ohio. 👍👍👍

Don’t come here for general tso and fried egg roll.
Come here for northern Chinese food!
The 4 dishes we had were very good, I didn’t come home thirsty!
Kidney and bean sprout on hot rocks was interesting, the rock definitely kept the dish hot! The flavors are nice with a touch of Szechuan peppercorn and tender kidneys.
Braised elbow is their signature dish, very nice marinate and soft elbows.
Fried pork in sweet and sour sauce, highlight of the night! Perfectly crisped and the sauce was so good, so far the best in town!
Fried eggplant in bean sauce, lightly fried and tossed in a black bean sauce.

The dishes are absolutely flavorful and tasty 😋 interesting choice of plates, reminiscent of the time 40 some years ago.

This one became an authentic Chinese restaurant, specializing in spicy and northeastern Chinese cuisine. Highly recommend their spicy liver slices. The liver tasted fresh and perfectly matched with spicy sauce and rice. Their spicy level is much higher than normal levels.

It was quite busy on a Friday evening, which is a good sign. We tried the yangzhou fried rice and it was amazing.

The new owners gave this place a new life and it has gathered a crowd. The food was really good and I will be back

This place has authentic Chinese Hunan (Xiang) cuisine. We ordered dried bamboo stir fried with cured pork, and it was so tasty.

I just had their wings for the first time the other day and was really impressed. They put these wing places to shame.

To many onions in your crab ragoons. All I tasted was onions. Filling was small portioned also. Shrimp cashew was excellent as well as your fried rice! Just ease up in onions in crab ragoons. You would have gotten a 5 star. Thank you

Update: 5/30/2023 - Picked up 2 lunches on Memorial Day. General Tso's with white meat chicken, battered and fried instead of dark meat, corn soup (lunch), and Singapore noodles with corn soup (lunch). The Singapore noodles were better than ever. I have no idea who was cooking, might've not been the usual cook or a new cook, but they were stellar! The General's was also good as usual. Great valur, under $19, and not even 10 minute wait, plus hot still when we got home 15 minutes later. Need to blow my diet more often. Original older review: We finally ordered from Pacific Eatery. It has a good location in the midst of my husband's commute, and longer lunch hours than most. We ordered the Singapore Rice Noodles, which were spicier than at the usual place we order from in Marysville, but that's a positive! We also ordered the lunch General Tso's. In both the noodles and the fried rice, I noticed egg, and carrot in the fried rice, that is not normally offered by many other Asian takeouts. We very much appreciated that. The best part was the actual bits of onions and ginger in the General Tso's. It also had a spice blend that I'd never come across before, but was of a higher plane/accord/quality than other places. Very nice! All I can say, if you don't like your fried rice dry, ask for some s&s sauce. We also chose the hot & sour soup as the soup accompaniment that is a special value to lunch dishes, and I extremely appreciated the bamboo shoots being thinner sliced. (I hope I am detecting the ingredient accurately!) There was some tofu, and the soup in general was not very sour, and yet pleasant. I look forward to talking to the kind gentleman that always answers the phone and asking what is on the salad, which is also an option for the lunch. I have called 3 times to ask questions, and today, our day finally lined up, and we are very happy to have tried Pacific Eatery and will order again. I would say, if you live in Columbus proper, there's not a better value, nor a better quality, that I have been able to find. We are usually purveyors of North and Northwest within Columbus. I look forward to trying other dishes. One note... they had the meals done quite fast. I was quoted 10 minutes, and it took us longer than 10 minutes to pick up... just order when you get there and get it spanking hot! :)
