Local Cantina

Went for an early lunch during the work day. The Brewery District Local Cantina has a comfortable feel to it, and it was an easy spot to have a work conversation over some tacos. I ordered the Wheezy Special, which was delicious! It might be a tad oily/greasy, but really you can only complain so much when you get free chips and salsa!

Stopped in last week while visiting my mom from out of town and was wowed with my experience. The food was great and came out quickly and the atmosphere was fun and bright. Our server Josie went above and beyond to make sure our experience was enjoyable and even recommended the 'We So Corny' dip, which is not something I would typically order, and it is now my favorite thing on the menu! We will definitely be back!

I normally go to the local cantina in UA but I came to this location last Tuesday because my dad lives nearby. I wanted to leave a review because the service was way better here than at my typical location. Our server, Olivia, was super friendly and gave fast service. When I told her I wanted to switch it up from my usual order she was quick to give me suggestions. I am in the service industry as well so it was refreshing to have such a friendly server that kept checking in on us. I will definitely come to this location more often instead of the one near my house.

Highly recommend asking for Josie as your server the next time you visit here! She did an outstanding job during our first trip to Local Cantina and constantly made sure our needs were met. The atmosphere and the food were also perfect. My family and I will most definitely be coming back to this location!!

Was visiting back from Chicago with my Boyfriend and had a bad craving for chips and salsa. If you're in Columbus, Ohio and craving a taste of Mexico, look no further than Local Cantina! I recently had the pleasure of dining at this vibrant spot, where my taste buds were taken on a tantalizing journey. But what made the experience truly special was knowing that Olivia and the staff, worked SO hard to make sure we had a good experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The colorful decor and lively music immediately set the tone for a fun and enjoyable meal. The menu was a delightful array of traditional Mexican dishes with a modern twist, offering something for everyone. Starting with appetizers, the guacamole was a standout. Creamy, fresh, and perfectly seasoned, it was the ideal companion to the crispy tortilla chips. The street corn, with its charred sweetness and tangy crema, was a crowd-pleaser that transported my taste buds to the bustling streets of Mexico City. For the main course, I opted for the tacos. (Of course) The Tempura shrimp is my new FAVORITE. (Thanks Olivia) To complement the meal, the margaritas were a must-try. Olivia's recommendation margarita, was a delight that perfectly balanced sweetness and tanginess. It was evident that the bartenders at Local Cantina take pride in crafting cocktails that are as beautiful as they are delicious. Now… What truly made the experience exceptional was Olivia's attentive service. Her genuine enthusiasm for the restaurant and its offerings shone through, making the meal feel like a personal journey through the menu. Her recommendations were spot-on, and her friendly demeanor added a personal touch to the dining experience. So, if you find yourself in the Buckeye State's capital, make sure to stop by Local Cantina and experience the magic firsthand. And who knows, you might even have the pleasure of being guided through the menu by the one and only Olivia! We will be back!

wish i could give this place 10000 stars! Great food, great drinks, great vibes. All of the staff is very personable and makes you feel very welcomed. Josie was my server and she was the best!! She recommended me a taco salad which was so delicious!! 10/10 recommend this place and will be coming back to eat soon!

Nice little spot. Your paying 5.50 for a taco. The taco is decent, nothing special. But your paying for atmosphere. Which is nice. They have a great n/a beer selection which I like. Free chips and salsa which is also cool. Overall it was not bad and pretty much what I expected for a non Mexican taco spot in Columbus ohio.

The food, atmosphere, and drinks were all outstanding! My friends and I dined here on a a busy Tuesday night and our server, Josie, gave us such great service. She answered all questions we had pertaining to food selection and was very knowledgeable of the menu. One of my friends has a lot of food sensitivity and she was able to help us customize a meal to work around her allergies. We for sure will be back!

Josie was our server and greeted us with big smiles, she made our night keeping our drinks filled and making sure everyone at the table had what we needed at our every ask and desire. Love coming to our Local Cantina, the food and atmosphere are the best and we will ask to be seated at Josie's tables whenever possible!
