When I miss my grandmothers fried fish, I come here, and I am 100% satisfied. This is one of the finest comfort food locations in town and they make amazing, high quality, meals that fill you up and make you feel somehow spiritually improved. It’s crazy.

This place is fabulous. If you are looking for food fried to perfection, this is the place. Fish is flavorful, with the perfect texture. A side of hand cut fries and cole slaw, yum!!! Try the fried okra. I would only suggest to have a spicier hot sauce available.

We weren't aware this little heaven of fried fish and chips existed until today, and I'm so glad we did! Their fish is breaded, (not battered) well seasoned, and fried to crispy perfection. There are several varieties in their menu to choose from, from tilapia and whitting, to perch and beyond. They also have an assortment of sides, but I personally recommend the okra and the fries. Their plates are well served and they're worth the price. (What's pictured here is only a small portion of what was left over from my meal) The cherry on top are the people working there. They're all nice, friendly and warm, especially the owner. I will definitely be coming back.

My daughter and I traveled from Cleveland for a concert at the nationwide arena. I googled restaurants near me and J Hot Fish was the first to show up and had good reviews. I am glad we tried it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The portions were tasty and abundant. If you want good soul food this spot is for you.

The food was absolutely fabulous! The portions were huge. The fish was fried to perfection; it was hot AND fresh. The owner was very attentive. I would recommend this place to everyone. Our Women's group had a very good time.

I had the red snapper and some green beans. They were good. The place is in a convenient location and has some interesting community art. Nice sized portions for the price. The dining room could be cleaned more often, but other than that, good food.

Excellent food and friendly staff. The atmosphere was inviting and everyone was upbeat. I had the Boston Blue fish and it was amazing! The greens were perfectly seasoned and the cornbread was delicious. We will definitely be back!!

They had live music on this particular day which was a nice treat. The fish was good. The green beans were good. The coleslaw was awesome. The mac and cheese could have use more seasoning for my taste. Prices were reasonable. I plan to return.
