This place has been here since 1955, and has past the test of time, joining the ranks of the The Top Steakhouse, Ding Ho’s, The Refectory, Windward Passage, and the York Steakhouse!!! The owner operator that runs this place is very conscientious and has been here for over 50+ years. Come here and get a some !!! Although they have a limited breakfast menu, their prices are Gand their quality is nostalgic …

Solid spot for unfussy, classic dishes. Fewer and fewer restaurants in Columbus take you back in time; this place is one of them and is a gem!

The only thing I didn’t like were their small breakfast portions and they didn’t have any heat in their restaurant. Other than that the servers are very nice 😊, and they’re BLACK PEOPLE FRIENDLY. They didn’t stare at me at all. I felt safe in this restaurant. The food is good. I have a picture below.

Enjoy a trip back in time at the Chef-O-Nette at Tremont Center in Upper Arlington with reasonably priced, good wholesome food and good service. The Hangover sandwich and chocolate chip pancakes are two of our favorites! Everyone should experience the Chef-O-Nette at least once!

During the 1950s and '60's, this was THE place to eat. For us, it was every Tuesday and Wilma was our waitress. My high school buddies and I had lunch and nostalgia there last week and I was amazed at how little the restaurant had changed. The burger was good, but the memories were better. All of us had memories of the Chef-o-net that stretched back decades. Their motto should be "come for the food, stay for the memories ".

Great atmosphere and service. The location was in a excellent area and also was inviting and friendly. The pricing was fair & good. However, the only exception is that the portion sizes could be a little bigger.

50’s style diner. No pretensions. Cash welcomed. It’s dated but the food was good and service was attentive and quick

A great little diner. Great food and atmosphere. The wait staff was very attentive and the fact that the decor is throw back it is even better! I would definitely recommend it, especially since it is very inexpensive.

“Chef-O” to Upper Arlington is similar to all the Tim Horton’s in Canada with regards to customer loyalty. Like “Tim’s” the customer is often a second or third generation customer. Almost as a salute to consistency, Chef-O has kept 90% of the original decor. It was, I believe, a calculated risk that worked I might add as one cannot help but believe they might have stepped through a portal in time rather than the old school door with bells on it:)
Special thanks for Harlen, the owner, who gets to know you on a personal basis and as far as I know is the only restaurant that serves three different flavored coca cola’s. All of them are mixed/created at the store. There is Cherry Coke, Vanilla Coke, and my favorite…Chocolate Coke🤩

We walked in and were immediately greeted. The atmosphere has a very '50s-ish diner feel. The gentleman working was very cordial and welcoming. My mom got a cheeseburger and fries and I got the chicken tenders with fries and coleslaw. The coleslaw was fantastic! It wasn't too chunky or had too much liquid on it. The fries were large and perfectly done! All in all, a really good experience! 10/10 will definitely be back.

I have been going to the Chef-o-Nette ever since I was little and always had a wonderful experience. The staff is always very friendly and the service is always great. Really good milkshakes. They have excellent burgers! The hangover is my favorite thing to get. They also have great waffles and pancakes for breakfast. If you love classic diner food this is a great place to go! They even have a drive through! It is very reasonably priced. I would totally recommend this classic American diner!!

Love this place and I can’t understand why you’re not here right this minute! You can have two pancakes and two scrambled eggs and a coffee for the same price as a single impossible sandwich and small latte at Starbucks. I love this place.

This place is an Upper Arlington institution. It's a time capsule of a diner that hasn't changed since the 70s and probably won't change for the rest of forever. Prices are cheap, the food is delicious, and the service is always friendly. Treat yourself to one of their amazing milkshakes.

Where else can you sit down and get a double burger and fries for under $10?

Chef-o-Nette is an Upper Arlington institution. It's been around since Tremont shopping center opened in 1955 and provides authentic mid-century ambience along with delicious food and excellent service. Our ham & cheese omelets were outstanding.

I have only been here for breakfast, but the breakfast here is delicious. It is very good prices, with very good service. And I've heard nothing but good things about their later meals in the day. I highly recommend going to this restaurant. The interior decor is very reminiscent of days of the old, it has a retro feel that makes it a very nice environment. I highly recommend you go here to eat.

Love this place. I always come here when I have family in town. Great aesthetic. I heard they haven't redecorated since the 60s and it still looks good. Food is also great. I always get their burger and I am never disappointed.
