Breakfast with a lively server. The counter service and food is outstanding. Coffe is better than Dunkin' Donuts. Fast service at a reasonal price, I'll be back.

The Best Joe Fries in town. I had the Joe Fries with 3 Pancakes and Sausage. It was crispy and delicious potatoes. I love it because Paul's serves breakfast all day.

Delicious but Dingy. Our first visit to Paul's resulted in a very delicious breakfast at a great price. The service was very quick and our server was kind through the entire meal - she offered to-go beverages for us as well.

I didn't much prefer the atmosphere as it was on the dingy side with bad lighting - I'm sure it is extremely expensive to make renovations, but I really think it would be a step in the right direction. Some of the staff interactions seemed to be really unprofessional - at one point, I witnessed a younger employee begin to start an argument with an older employee. It seemed like a conversation that should have happened in the back away from where patrons were dining.

I wouldn't mind making a second trip to Paul's, however, it wouldn't be my first choice.

Steve Davis. My 11 year old Granddaughter and I have visited over 40 different Italian restaurants in the Columbus area. We thoroughly enjoyed Paul's Fifth Ave. The food and service was great. If they would up grade the decor, you would not be able to get in. This is a real comfortable place.

Surprisingly good dinner. I usually come here for breakfast and the food is typically good and fairly priced. I decided to come in for dinner one evening and had one of their pasta dishes and it was outstanding! It's a little pricey for dinner but it is VERY good. Worth a try if you're in the neighborhood.

Hand's down, my favorite place to eat in cbus. I'm actually really surprised by the comments left by others on this forum. We have gone to Paul's regularly over the past few years. The food is consistently tasty, the service prompt, and the interior clean and cozy. We know quite a few of the servers by name, Miss. Lee, Miss Jeanie and P.J. are tops in our book. They always remember what "our usual" is and the super sweet. Miss Jeanie bakes cakes regularly that are amazing, the orange chiffon is out of this world. No, Paul's is not Due Amici or Martini's, and thank God for that, 'cause with it's friendly staff, homey environment and a real honest-to-goodness locally owned family restaurant, who wants to eat anywhere else?

Charm and warmth. Here's the deal. Paul's offers great food in the "homey Italian-American style" for--if you factor in the ubiquitous ValuPak coupons--an obscenely low price. Every time I've been there, Jean works there as a server, and this woman belongs in the "local character" hall of fame. She looks like my grandmother, she has the same name as my grandmother, she has a charmingly distinctive voice (um, you'll know what I mean once you hear it), and she bakes fabulous cakes, which they serve for dessert. If you go to Paul's once, you will know who Jean is. I've only had her chocolate cherry cake, and it was to die for Warm, melty, not too sweet, light texture and molten top.

More importantly, eating at Paul's is like eating in your grandparents' dining room in 1975, and I mean that as the highest possible compliment. I always feel welcome and at home there, and the food, as I said, far outshines much of what I've had at similarly mom-and-pop places. That sounds like a backhanded compliment, but it's not. The lasagna in particular is delicious, scented with a hint of nutmeg, creamy cheese, and tangy tomato sauce.

Don't listen to the people who bash Paul's. Even if the food sucked--which it doesn't--it would get by on its charm. Don't expect Babbo, expect the welcoming arms of the kind of plucky original I, personally, am glad to have in my neighborhood.

Didn't know that the sale several years ago didn't go through...was excited to learn that it was still open. Went there for the first time since. Great food and quality, just as I remembered. Now for the issues with our service. Although our waitress was nice...we put our drink and food order in at the same time because we had already decided what we wanted. In the roughly 15 minutes (maybe longer), our waitress went to the bathroom, got herself something to drink, was doing who knows what else in between....I had to approach her, tell her she still hadn't gotten us our drinks and she made up some excuse about silverware to cover for the fact that she hadn't gotten our drinks. She was nice and fairly on top of things after that....

easily our fav place! try to visit once a week. coffee is excellent & imho better than most simple brewed coffees. my top 3 brekkie plates (pics) 1. love the fresh belgian waffle w/whip. you can get ice cream too if you wanted. 2. tots w/sausage gravy & cheddar. 3. french toast. they serve so much in a small setting. lunchtime there’s classic italian specials, wedding soup, chicken parm. large beer selection, mimosa, bloody mary, you can get pitchers. milkshakes w/ or w/o liquor. homemade pies chocolate cream w/butter crust & one time peanut butter cream, I am not kidding. the staff always smile & take care of us. love & thanks

Checks all the boxes for morning brunch. We came in at the same time as a 15 person table and they still managed to deliver everyone's food fast. Food was also delicious and big for a good price. For our first experience, this place was fantastic!
