Nice restaurant with really nice staffs and tasty food. It’s a small place however it can accommodate aprox. 30 people. It’s pocket friendly, without compromising food quality.
Loved this place. The tamales were amazing. Only an abuelita could have made them better. My husband's Navajo tacos were incredible too.
I have always enjoyed the original location & this delivers. Waiter recommended the BBQ fajita burrito & it was great. I normally don't eat BBQ items but it was flavored nicely. Wife had the green chili crab cake. Really good, like a giant crab fritter. Margaritas are good, not great.
The best place for fresh, from scratch Mexican / Southwest food in Central Ohio. Friendly, fast, knowledgeable service. Excellent value. Super fresh, perfectly spiced items. Try the Navaho taco. Real chilies.
This place is heaven trapped inside a restaurant. You must go here!
This place uses beef tenderloin in one of its signature dishes barbecue (steak/chicken burrito fajita. Awesome. My quest for a good Mec restaurant is over. This place has it all
Chile Verde near Polaris http://chileverdecafe.com/ Overall GrubGrade B The Breakdown: Atmosphere: Grade B: We hit up our nearest Chile Verde for lunch a few weeks ago. Since we weren’t there during peak hours, it’s a little hard to judge on atmosphere. The place was exceptionally clean and quiet, and table spacing was a non-issue since there were only a couple other patrons in the restaurant. The outside décor is pretty bland, but the particular Chile Verde is located in a strip mall, so the outside of the building is probably always going to be fairly bland. Although it was clean on the inside, it was also fairly boring. But let’s face it, if you’re eating at Chile Verde, that means you’re probably tired of Taco Bell but don’t want to spring for the upscale atmosphere of a Cantina Laredo. That’s cool. Chile Verde seems comfortable in its own skin and isn’t trying to fool anyone with flashy décor. High marks: Quiet and clean Low marks: Inside and outside décor fairly bland ……………
The top travel site on the internet rated the Sawmill Rd location as the third best Mexican restaurant in Columbus. Sadly, that location closed so I popped over to their other location - this one.
I arrived during Happy Hour, so I gave that menu a look first: It's basically all the appetizers and a couple of sides at discounted rates. Not discounted deeply enough, I thought. So I moved on to the main menu and decided on the $20 Combo Plato, which came with three entre items among six choices and sides of rice and beans. I chose the burrito, enchilada, and tamale with the chili verde (hot) sauce: they were all pretty good- especially the tamale. And the platter was definitely filling; I'm a fat guy and even I couldn't finish it. On the bright side, the leftovers made for a nice midnight snack.
As for the service, the waitress was as ideally cheerful as you would hope a real Mexican mama would be after she invited you over for supper. And the atmosphere, with a front façade that's actually a large garage-like door that opens to the outside when the weather is nice, was exceptionally pleasant due to sunny, mid 70s weather on an early Autumn day.
The bill came to $30 with a $5 tip. I will return if I'm in the area. For the tamales.
This is a must try restaurant!! Once you try it, you will come back again, and again!! This is some of the freshest, best quality food I've had in our city. The taco salad I ordered was enormous! Three people could have shared it! The steak was amazing! I added the pineapple salsa and, wow, yum. The fresh salsa for tortillas is one of the best I've ever had! On top of that the restaurant was beautiful! Warm and welcoming, with Latin charm!
This restaurant is one of the best in Columbus. The food is absolutely amazing, the service is always on point and the price of what you get when you order is excellent. Not to mention the food always tastes great. The owner is also hands on and makes sure everything is right and that service runs smoothly. Love this place, definitely check it out if you're in the area!
P.S. - the seasonal margaritas are great!
This is a great place - we have been going to the original location for 20+ years. We now live out in the Polaris area and we thoroughly enjoy the food - and the new patio is also a great spot for a meal when the weather cooperates. Give it a try, and if you like some heat, try the Anasazi sauce!
Exceeds expectations for a Mexican chain restaurant. Overall I really enjoyed this place.
Meal felt more fresh, nicer quality, big portion. Service was great, quick, attentive. Only eh part was the salsa was mid at best.
Would recommend and would go back
Not Tex-Mex! A definite Southwest taste for this locally owned gem. A commitment to fresh, traditional ingredients is evident in every dish. More than ample portions at surprisingly reasonable prices. BTW treat yourself to probably the best service in the Polaris area!
This place is absolutely awesome. I had the Hawaiian fajita and would recommend sharing that plate with two people. I will definitely go here again.
YES! We totally recommend Chile Verde Catering Services! We used this service in July for a Wedding Rehearsal. We were extremely happy with the nice lady in charge of the Catering Orders, she was most helpful, kind and explained the orders and gave great suggestions. Although we are from out of town the owner also treated us excellently. They delivered the AMAZING delicious food on time and set up for us!
WOW, All our guest enjoy the Taco, Fajita Bar and the appetizers!
We Highly recommend Chile Verde! We are sure we will use again the great service, price for the amount of food, and delivery service! ENHORABUENA!!
👏👏😋😋
Such a great meal! All the food, especially the tacos, the burger, and green chili soup, were delicious ! Our server was extremely attentive and friendly. Missed happy hour that ended at 5, but next time we won't. I highly recommend this place.
So delicious, I forgot to take photos but I was impressed. Will be adding to my Taco Tuesday rotation. You can tell it’s been recently renovated. The vibe is great! Feels like Arizona, kind of a Native Dessert Vibe with Turquoise accents. It was cold so we sat inside but the patio looks very nice and would be a great place to come in the spring/summer to enjoy.
They have pretty good Mezcal Margaritas. I ordered the crab boules which had a sweet jalapeño cocktail sauce. I shared the Albuquerque Platter with my boyfriend, which was plenty. We even left with some leftovers that might not make it through the night. The platter had some of the best chorizo I’ve had in a while, with chicken and shrimp smothered in queso with pico. The rice was also really good.
