Review High Bank Distillery - Columbus

Lovely place, we sat outside and their patio was very nice. Out waitress was very kind and on top of things. Great drink menu. Very delicious food, did not take long at all to get our food. Highly recommend this place to grab a drink or a bite to eat!

Didn't realize this place was here. What a cool place to eat, with such a unique menu. We ordered the Korean BBQ Sandwich, Fish Tacos, and Garden Salad. All fresh and full of flavor. Everyone loved their food. Nice selection of beers, so I grabbed a beer. Their bar is nice and has a great selection. Super friendly staff. They have a parking lot, but its a little tight. We parked on the street. On the way out I had to get some of their product, so a bottle of a Midnight Cask went home for another evening. H8ghly recommended. Returned for brunch in Dec 2023 and again loved this place. Got the pancakes and bagel and both were delicious.

Made a reservation for 4 people and came here for my wife’s birthday. It was around 12pm on a Thursday. The staff was nice and friendly. The drinks, appetizers and food were all really good. I got a blueberry basil drink, and it was amazing. We ordered the crispy brussels and herb whipped feta for appetizer. The crispy brussel sprouts were amazing, they were crispy, tangy and sweet due to the sweet and chili. The her whipped feta was alright, the bread was really hard. I got a spicy crispy chicken sandwich and it was amazing. The chicken was really crispy, flavorful and it had a kick which I liked. It came with pickled cucumber which was amazingly seasoned. It also came with fries and a really tasty house sauce. My wife got a seasonal harvest salad, which was amazing and fresh. She also added steak for some proteins. I’ll definitely come back and recommend this place to my friends and family. Note: there were 2 stalls in the men’s restroom, but I’m not sure why one was locked the whole time.

This. Was. Amazing. We enjoyed every course and drink we tried! We did the chicken pimento dip for an appetizer, pork belly sandwich, wings, Philly sandwich, mac n cheese and hot honey pizza. We also tried the beer and mixed drinks. Absolutely 10/10 And don't get me started on the fries and dipping sauce!

Our guide for the tour was great, funny and very knowledgeable. The restaurant had delicious food. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing. This place is a 10 in my book.

We had reservations and still waited another 15 minutes. Our waiter was less than attentive. Luckily the food was phenomenal and made up for the rest. It was warm, plentiful, tasty and much better than was expected. Would still recommend for the menu.

Ooh weee.....okay let's start with the smoked salmon dip with the baked bread. I devoured immediately before I could grab a picture to show you how appetizing the plate was. Now, I'm getting into the review, lol. My family and I had a blast. We ordered quite a bit on the menu so that we could taste a little of everything. After the smoked salmon dip, we ordered these items sticky wings, bison potstickers, donuts, chorizo rangoon, highbank deluxe burger chicken pimento dip with tortillas chips, chicken and biscuits and pancakes. We sat for a while to enjoy the brunch and lunch/dinner menu as the restaurant does not serve everything on one menu. I would go into full detail, but there's so much to describe, and all I can say is try it out and see. Despite a few overdone tortilla chips and a few overdone donuts, this place rocked my socks!! Thank you again for the wonderful experience!

Amazing place to eat and drink. Did pot stickers, nachos, and wings. Walked out with a reasonably priced bottle of gin to boot! The cocktail pictured is appropriately called "You're the One". Can confirm the ducks have squeakers.

Love this place!! I’ve gone here for brunch more times than I can count. They have a great deal for happy hour & my current favorite cocktail is their Apple Bottom Gin. Their nachos are delicious! Great to share between 2-3 people. The place is clean, service is great, and food/drinks are always consistently great. I recommend making reservations for brunch because the place gets packed quickly.

Upscale industrial modern restaurant with high quality items. Easy to find and close to the airport. Signature whiskey is on point.

First time visiting here. My friend and I got whiskey for half off because we came during happy hour! Had appetizers and dinner here as well. Food was great! We ordered food for sharing, they cut our philly steak and burger in half; the server even split our bills in half, very convenient :) Love the SPACIOUS atmosphere, definitely a place to hang out with coworkers and friends, or even for a date!

Stopped here after a funeral and we were seated immediately. I ordered the brunch wrap Supreme with a side salad and my friend had the berry compote pancakes with eggs and side order of Mac and cheese. The waitress was very nice and our food came out super fast. Would’ve given 5 stars but the food lacked seasoning. Overall a great experience would definitely go back.

Coworker and I went here to celebrate a hard days work - Incredible food - wonderful atmosphere and staff is incredibly efficient and quick. The food is amazing, highly recommend their hot honey pepperoni pizza, I like it so much I had to take one home with me. I also recommend the pot stickers One this to be aware of, they like to be fluid with their menu so sometimes items you've had before will be replaced with other items. 10/10 times it's just as good if not better than the item it replaced though. LOVE THE COCKTAILS TOO.

Been here twice for brunch and will be back. Last visit my husband and I took my cousins who were visiting from out of town. We all got different things and shared. Favorites were the egg sandwich, the breakfast crunch wrap and the pimento grilled cheese. The chicken and biscuits were also good but probably wouldn’t order it again when there are some many other great options. The $5 mimosas are a good deal and the Pineapple Express was really refreshing.

Such a great place to have some good food with your friends and family. I had a great experience here. The food was excellent, both in presentation and taste. The vibe was also great I like the part where you can actually peep into the distillery. The music was a bit on the loud side, but overall, it was a great experience for me visiting here.

This place is fantastic. Great food. Full of flavor and just very well prepared. This place has a pretty nice atmosphere as well. A little loud but in general pretty good. Their mixed drinks are also very good. Wait staff was very attentive but also not overbearing. The only downside to this place is its so busy that you need to reserve a table beforehand if you want to get a table at a decent time. We'll worth it though. They have outdoor seating as well that's nice on a nice day.

Service was excellent. Brewing vats are behind glass where they make their beer. The food was outstanding and reasonably priced. Parking was challenging but you will find a spot on the street. Nice place to bring your family.

Came here for a buddy's bachelorette lunch. The service and food were amazing. Everyone on staff was super friendly. We also did the tour with Todd. He made our whole experience great. Would definitely recommend and will be back.

The cocktails were excellent and the food was first rate (amazing honey chicken and pimento Mac N Cheese, Mule and BlackBerry Bourbon). The staff was attentive and the setting was inviting. If opening night was an indication, great things are yet to come. Very nice and certainly to become a favorite.

We went there for brunch and it was an incredibly underwhelming experience. In a nearly empty restaurant, we were seated right next to another table, which made it feel incredibly awkward because there was all this open space and yet we were essentially crammed against a wall with another couple a foot and a half away. Annoying, but I can overlook that. We ordered cocktails and they were lackluster. Pretty disappointing given that they’re a distillery but, ok, I can overlook that. (By the way, they’re not actually distilling any of their own stuff. Not terribly uncommon for a new distillery but the fact that they’re not even putting decent cocktails together with product that they don’t even have to focus on making themselves is pretty unfortunate.) When ordering I had to remind our server to ask me about my choice of breakfast meat but hey, they’re still getting used to the menu, ok, I can overlook that. These were all little things that my husband and I both agreed spoke to the inexperience and/or quality of folks running both front and back of the house operations, but we were willing to give them a pass on each one. Then the food showed up. I had been thrilled to see a french toast with grilled peaches on their menu. I’m a french toast fiend and the Short North is overrun with banana french toast so I was super stoked they weren’t doing that. I’m not exaggerating when I say that the peach was so under ripe that I could barely cut through it with my knife and it had absolutely no flavor. Ok, I abandoned the peach and thought at least a solid french toast would be good on its own. No such luck. It was super soggy in some parts, completely dry in others, and some bites were incredibly salty. Oh and that breakfast meat I had to remind our server to ask me about? Yeah, it was the wrong one. I had ordered bacon (which I eventually did get) but instead I had four sausage patties on my plate. Four seemed excessive and hey I’m not one to complain about more food BUT of the four patties, two were overcooked and two were undercooked (to the extent that we debated whether they were two different types of sausage because the coloring was so different on the outside). The table next to us also had an error in their order, as well so someone in the kitchen wasn’t handling tickets well and servers weren’t making sure the orders were plated correctly before delivering them. My husband got the chorizo con papas, which was incredibly bland. We both ate a few bites and called it. Our server asked me how everything tasted and I said “hey it’s not your fault but I’m not going to lie to you, it’s not very good”. She said she was sorry to hear that. She never asked my husband about his barely touched plate. I think you can tell a lot about a place from how they handle these situations. Our server told us that she had told the manager but not once did anyone (server, manager, etc) attempt to find out what was wrong. This indicates to me that they don’t really care about getting better. Now, let me be completely clear about this: they took my meal off our bill and hey, I appreciate that but just doing that without anyone asking us what was up makes it seem like you don’t care about how to make it better for next time. It honestly indicates inexperienced front of the house management. If I owned this place I’d want to know why I was paying a drinks manager who wasn’t turning out decent drinks, a front of the house manager who wasn’t properly training servers nor addressing customer-facing issues, and a kitchen staff who can’t execute a menu. I rarely write reviews about places but I honestly want others to avoid the experience we had.

Hello. Last night was my first visit to your restaurant. I've had reservations for our group for weeks and was excited to try it out. We loved the airy atmosphere and decor. We had a drink at the bar before being seated. Once seated we ordered cocktails. I had a simple vodka cranberry. It was really weak. I mentioned it to the server, the cranberry was overkill but I'd try another. The drink was identical. I had the fig salad with chicken. The chicken was non existent. Some of us had appetizers that were served with the meal. 3 of were served our entrees the other 3 waited 10 min with no explanation for wait. Mediocre cocktails, spotty service and lack of communication won't bring customers back. Not sure if this is a training or management issue. Also, sent this feedback to the restaurant with no response. We fortunate to have many dining choices in Columbus.

The elderberry fizz drink was amazing, and I’ve been talking about my veggie burger for days! Definitely check out this fun spot—especially the patio for drinks and an appetizer!

Great drink menu with many options. Easy parking and access from downtown. Service was spot on and the food was tremendous. Worth your time to visit!

This place was so impressive. The food and drinks were all so good (those chips!!!!! SO good). The best part of the night was the service. We had a party of 12 and Alejandra (forgive my spelling if it’s incorrect) provided the BEST service we have experienced in years. She was thoughtful, detailed, kind and perfectly timed. We will definitely be back!

Yummy vegan options!! Must try the pineapple dessert whether you’re vegan or not!! Server was very helpful with ordering. Definitely going back!

We stopped in for dinner for the first time with friends. The atmosphere is fun and upbeat but the rest doesn't follow. Drinks we either small or weak. The food for our 6 top came out in two shifts 10 minutes apart. The appetizers came out with our meal. When the servers arrive with the food they just yell out who has...? It just didn't meet our expectations.

Very cool industrial vibe and Chef Goodwin is in beast mode with his kitchen putting out delicious food

A group of my friends and I came to try High Bank before a concert. We split several meals, drinks and dessert. Everything that we tried was amazing!
