By far the best Ramen place in central Ohio! It also has the distinction of being my favorite restaurant all together! Their Meshikou black signature dish is a perfect introductory dish if you are introducing people for the first time. The apartment of flavors and smooth broth are welcoming to all! If you are hoping for something a little lighter and less creamy, I highly recommend the Shoyu Chintan Ramen to introduce yourself! I have yet to have someone try the takoyaki and not love it. I brought a friend who grew up in rural West Virginia and had no experience with Japanese food outside of sushi, and after he tried a takoyaki he said “oh my, those are dangerous” and proceeded to scarf down the rest of the bowl! I highly recommend the Chashu Bun appetizer as well! Pictured are Takoyaki, Meshikou Black Ramen, and Shoyu Chintan Ramen with an order of extra noodles.

An absolute favorite ramen restaurant. The broth is home made with prefect season. The noodles are boiled in house to a perfect firmness. The aroma will have you in a trance. The pork belly was tender and flavorful. I highly recommend this ramen shop.

At Meshikou Ramen, the quality of the food is truly extraordinary. The appetizers, which included pot stickers and fried chicken, were nothing short of amazing. Each bite was filled with a burst of flavors that left me craving for more. The pot stickers had a perfect balance of filling and wrapper, while the fried chicken was crispy on the outside, yet tender and juicy on the inside. Moving on to the main course - the ramen. It was meticulously prepared and served at the perfect temperature. The broth was rich, savory, and full of depth, while the noodles had just the right amount of chewiness. Every ingredient in the bowl worked together harmoniously to create a delightful culinary experience. As for the service, it was commendable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and prompt, ensuring that all my needs were met in a timely manner. They were knowledgeable about the menu and were more than willing to make recommendations based on my preferences. In summary, Meshikou Ramen offers a superb dining experience with its remarkable food and excellent service. It is a place that certainly deserves a visit for anyone looking for a satisfying and authentic ramen experience.

I keep looking for a place like many of the ramen restaurants in Japan. This one was good but still a bit off. Definitely delicious and VERY close to what Japanese ramen is. It was a wondeful environment, staff was friendly enough, and the place was clean. I got the Shoyu ramen and some takoyaki ND my daughter got the Meshikou black. The shoyu ramen was a little thicker, reminding me of a tonkotsu broth. Very tasty and strong chicken flavor. Noodles were good with a light springy texture. The takoyaki were flavorful but the octopus pieces were very small, hardly noticeable in a couple of the pieces. The meshikou black was mildly different in flavor to the shoyu but still enjoyable. I look forward to coming back.

Atmosphere immediately hits you soon as you walk in the door. Dark, softly lit with nice touches of wood and background music is pop punk, which was a pleasant surprise. I'm not a big fan of the trend towards QR codes for menus, and it immediately took you to a download PDF link rather than a website. I saw other persons being offered paper menus, but wasn't offered one, so something to keep in mind. Food was on point. The salt and pepper wings were amazingly seasoned, topped with onions and jalapenos. The downside was how to get the bits of vegetables with the wings, had to use chopsticks to slowly get pieces after taking a bit of the wings. Got the black ramen, which I expected to be a bit blacker actually, but the garlic flavor definitely came through. Unique bit of drink presentation. The sake came in a metal bucket filled with ice, the sake in a glass bottle and a little shotglass next to it. The water came in a mason jar with a cucumber slice, which added a nice hint of flavor.

Late review but unforgettable experience! As the name suggests, this restaurant is known for its ramen but you definitely can’t ignore the appetizers. We enjoyed the Meshikou karaage and the salt and peer chicken wings. The karaage was definitely my favorite of the two and I was pleasantly surprised by how much chicken they give you with the karaage. It is paired with a delightful dipping sauce. As for the ramen, I enjoyed the Shoyu Paitan Ramen with pork belly. I feel this is the classic ramen you have to try whenever trying out a new ramen shop. I am pleased to report the broth was flavorful and the pork belly was tender, as desired. The Happy Dad seltzer was a nice light drink for an evening meal. Overall, this restaurant is great if you have a ramen crave and is amongst many great Asian spots on Bethel.

Small place with vet friendly servers. The food was very good but I wish there was flexibility when ordering. I wish I can add anything I want on my noodle such as Shrimp or have the egg to be Hard boiled, but those options are not available 😔😕, they also charge to add an egg which I think should already come with the noodles.

KFC chicken is very good, perfect crunchiness, a little bit too sweet for me. Ramen is good quality but just not impressed. Would like to try a different ramen next time. Recommend to check it out because you won’t be disappointed at least!
