Kabob Connection

There was a time where I would go out of my way to come here. Today I came from pretty far to visit the Symphony of lights across the street. I thought I'd visit my old favorite. I was thoroughly disappointed. I ordered the chicken curry, my normal dish. I got a watery version of curry that barely coated the rice. The sauce used to be nice and thick and stuck to the rice. As you see from the photo, that wasn't the case. Maybe the steam table is too hot and the sauce is breaking down? This dish was too good previously for this to be acceptable. 2 stars because the cashier was polite.

ETA: I've placed several orders here over the past many months and for one reason or another I have not actually been able to get the food from them. In the past they have refunded the order since they did not provide the food, but most recently I have not received a response from them and have been unable to reach them by phone. After a while I disputed the charge on my credit card. They are claiming they delivered the food to me, even though when I arrived to pick it up during their stated business hours after placing the order online they were dark and obviously closed, so there was clearly no way I could have picked up any food from them. Frustrating, as this used to be one of my family's go-to take out options. My favorite mall food court option. The meat is cooked to order and delicious. The chicken curry is fantastic and I love their bread. I almost always get the chicken kabobs, with the spicy green sauce (also fantastic) and have never had a complaint. Comes with a small salad and two kinds of rice. My kids love it too and will choose it out of all the food court options. We also tried the baklava for the first time recently and that will undoubtedly become a staple too. This is a pretty much weekly meal in our house.

Food is good. People that work there during the week at lunchtime are rude and act like they are doing you a favor by serving you. I will not go back. I would rather go some place that acts like they appreciate my business. So I went back again today to give it another shot and stood there for over 5 minutes and was not acknowledged by the guy that was working. He clearly saw me and my coworker yet acted like we weren't there. We both walked away and went to Chipotle. Whoever is working your lunch crew is losing you a lot of business. I will never go back.

Ordered online for pick-up at their Columbia location. Guy at the cashier claimed that they "do not have a website where you can order online". I showed the guy the website on my phone with KC's Columbia address listed and he repeatedly said that they don't have any means to order online & I could re-order the same dish despite the fact I already paid for it online as per my bank acct app & receipt. I also saw some workers in the back kitchen not wearing masks as well. I ended up going elsewhere to order food. Don't even bother with this sketchy and rude establishment.
