Cinco De Mayo

This spot is probably my favorite place to go for great Mexican food! The food was fresh, timely, and so delicious!!!!!! We enjoyed the Birria tacos, Dips, and of course a chimi. It was our 2nd time back, and I’m already looking forward to the next time! The reason I did 4 stars, was because the servers were a little off. We showed up around lunch on a Friday so it makes sense things were slow and casual. But our first server, put on his jacket and went somewhere, so another person did part of our service, and then another person too. They had good personalities and were kind, even though the first server seemed like he had other things he would rather be doing. Lol! I wasn’t upset by it, overall it was fantastic because we only care about a clean table and great food! I’m just noting it for other people who might have more expectations of their servers. We love Cinco de Mayo! (Y ahora tengo hambre otra vez ) 🤩🤣

We just stopped in to check out the place and have a margarita at the bar. Their chips and salsa were great, their signature margaritas (pic) were so expensive at $13 to $15 for signature margaritas. Their happy hour margaritas were big and only $6. But I found them too sweet. Very girly margaritas. Second visit I had the to go carnitas platter (pic). It was very delicious. Juicy n flavorful, high in salt.

Came back after a year after a friend recommended the barria tacos. Completely different experience from the first time. We had the best server and the food was amazing! *1st Visit* Ordered Arroz con Pollo and when it came back with sour cream, which I specifically asked for no sour cream, the waitress snapped her eyes at me and snached it back... when it came back, it was overly salty, to the point the roof of my mouth was irritated. My husband ordered Carne Asada tacos, he said his was bland and over cooked. The Blue Pacific Margarita was good and the beer my husband ordered was great. Overall, not somewhere we would return. Still looking for Authentic Mexican in this area.

I visited on 3/2/22. Service that night was horrible. My waiter acted as if we were bothering him. My steak was over cooked tremendously. And my drink was watered down. This was my third time eating here. And my first bad experience. When the bill came my friend and I split the check and paid with cards. I did not leave Hector a tip due to the poor service I received. I never complained because I do not want people messing with my food. I just endured it. Days later I see my bank statement. The $52 I paid for my food changed “to add tip”, to $57. He also did the same to my friends bill. That is illegal & completely unacceptable. When I called the restaurant to complain neither manager I spoke with sounded out raged. They offered to give me a $5 refund or $5 gift card. It’s not about the $5 it’s the principle. An employee stole from me. I will never support or eat here again. Be mindful & check your bank statements to make sure tips are not altered.
