The food is actually pretty good and service was too, but they lack in value offered in my opinion. Sadly, that’s what keeps people from coming back a second time to a lot of these newer restaurants. My honest recommendation for this place to last is to offer more for the $$. They have quality ingredients and very fresh flavors. But, you easily spend $12-15 on lunch - and I left still very hungry. The taco is around $4-5 for ONE. Granted it comes with overfilling Meat and flavorful toppings. But, If they split the meat portions in half and offer it on 2 tacos for the same price. And/OR offer up some chips and fresh salsa with an order of tacos - then I feel like the customer would leave feeling satisfied, and that would be a good value.

I odered a pineapple daiquiri & guacamole with chips. The flavors of the guac was awesome. The drink was small for a daiquiri. Friendly staff

I’ve tried Boss Taco twice and I can say it really improved from the first time and has lots of potential but I can’t give it more than three stars right now. The Good- the margaritas are excellent. If you just want a really nice cocktail, come here. Really nice vibe, great bar area. The tacos themselves also tasted really good, huge improvement from the first time I came. The Bad- I’m from the west coast and the fancy/hipster taco place is definitely a thing, however, not at these prices. I’ve never seen a “fancy” taco for more than 4.5 even in LA or Portland, and let’s face it, a perk of living in Columbia is things are cheaper than living in a big coastal city. Mission taco in St. Louis is doing the fancy taco thing and they are all about 3-3.75. Since you order more than one, 5 dollars for taco is just too much. And 6 dollars for chips and salsa? If you charge any money at all (I’ve seen like 3 dollars) they better be mind blowing made to order chips. These were cold, some burnt, some chewy, straight up bad chips. If they lowered the prices and fixed their chips, this place could live up to it’s name.

I had read mixed reviews about this place but decided to check it out tonight for dinner. Wow, I'm impressed and will be going back. Pros: - Quick, attentive service - Best guacamole I have ever had in my life! I'll go back just for this. - Green chili pork was great - Special ground beef taco (not on the menu) was great Cons: - I don't remember the nam of the margarita but it was their top shelf / highest priced one. It tasted great but wasn't very strong. if they could kick it up a notch with a little more tequila it would be great. - Nashville hot chicken special (not on the menu) wasn't that good. I love Nashville hot chicken but they added a slaw to it that contrasted with the flavor. Overall, I was impressed and I can't wait to go back.

Actually really good tacos for a decent price. The food comes out quite rapidly - maybe too rapidly if you've ordered an appetizer. The salsa ranges between quite spicy and excruciatingly spicy which we were told depends on the freshly acquired peppers of the day. The cocktails are fine, but this probably isn't really a cocktail place. Overall a solidly good place for tacos (and the burrito is good too); we will go again!

Finally got a chance to check this place out last night. It was a cold evening so we were one of two couples eating. I liked the decor and booth seating. We tried the elotes which surprisingly came out in a bowl and not on the cob. The flavor was good, but I prefer the look and experience of it on the cob. I did two tacos based on the server recommendations for dinner portions and he was right, it was just enough. Both tacos had a fair amount of flavor but neither really stood out to me. One thing I did notice is that the tortilla didn't seem fresh and cracked and fell apart on my. I'll give this place another shot, and in total enjoyed it, I just would like to see them step up the menu and ingredients a bit more.

Attended First Friday in the Art District and stopped here to eat for the first time. I liked the daily meal and drink specials posted inside the door. Tried the Mother Taco and it was tasty, but I should have ordered two. Nice atmosphere with helpful staff.
