La Siesta

Our food was very delicious. And the place was bumping. A lot of action on a Saturday night. Apparently they have some pretty good drink specials. The food was made to perfection and even though they were busy the service stayed on top. We would go again. It’s kind of a happy accident, can we try to go to 44 canteen but they had an hour long wait. And we were really hungry. Yes!

Atmosphere: Such a pretty restaurant! The walls are colorful, the decor is festive, and the tables have pictures on them. I don't know if all the tables were like this, but more longer I looked at the picture on my table, the more interesting details there were to notice. Atmosphere: 5/5 Staff: The employees were welcoming, friendly, and prompt. Our waiter came around often enough that our drinks were never empty for long and the chips and salsa were quickly refilled. Some other places don't ask if you want more chips and salsa once it's been emptied, but La Siesta did! They had a good balance of giving us personal space while at the same time making sure our needs were met. Staff 5/5 Food: I ordered the Vegetarian Fajitas. They were good, though they tasted like vegetables sauteed in only oil. I think adding a little spice would make these superb. The chips and salsa were also very good. I would definitely eat here again! Food: 4/5

Ordered food tonight and it was pretty bad!!! Ordered Chicken/Rice plate, didn't receive. Asked for flour tortillas, got corn tortillas. Ordered a chicken and cheese ONLY quesadilla, and it was filled with peppers/onion. The tortilla was extremely soggy too! Very disappointing meal!! Go elsewhere for Mexican food!

I hate giving bad reviews because I honestly want businesses to succeed in our downtown area. I had previously told co-workers that I wouldn't be going back to La Siesta due to the quality of food, in particular the queso was usually lukewarm or room temperature. Today, I went back at the behest of my coworkers. The chips had a burnt taste and we're slightly bitter. The paper on the straws had been soiled by something. The chip basket had a wad of gum on the bottom. And our food took more than half an hour to arrive at the table despite being only one of three tables occupied.

I ordered a pickup order from this location at around 11:25pm (35 mins before closing time). When I got to the restaurant, they realized that they overlooked my order. Usually, I would be mad but they were very nice about it and even offered me a beverage. I talked with who I think was the owner until my food was ready and you can tell he really cares about his work. The food was absolutely amazing. I ate a grande steak burrito with a side of rice and beans. I finished the whole thing and I will be going back very soon for more!!
