Always friendly staff and I love the underground spacing of the shop. I always love the coffee and the pastries are delicious. It also doesn't hurt that I'm greeted with a smile every time �!

What an amazing experience we had at Shortwave Coffee. The atmosphere the coffee and the staff were wonderful. Lindsay created me a custom, one of a kind teddy bear Cortada. OMG it tasted even better than it looked if you can believe that! Thank you Lindsay and Caroline for your excellent service and making us feel so welcome in your beautiful city. ❤️❤️☕️☕️
Bought a bag of whole beans here, the 5x5 blend, and it was awesome the whole way through. Usually a bag "dies out" like a week in to opening it but this stuff continued to pull amazing shots the whole time (photo attached). They also offered a free drink with the purchase of a bag which would be awesome to capitalize on if I lived in the area. It's a cool experience walking into the alley and then descending down into the shop, and it's deceivingly big in there. The people on there were very helpful and someone was just vibin roasting fresh beans, adding to the chill yet industrial ambiance.
Shortwave is my personal favorite coffee shop in Columbia. I love that you can have two different places to go and still get the same great lattes/drip coffees/cold brew etc.The alley offers a more cozy, underground feel and the bakery (located on 9th) offers more of an upscale, modern experience. Either way, you can’t go wrong—both locations have friendly baristas and great coffee!
Super cute coffe place hidden in an alleyway. Great service and they have decaf and dairy free options too! I got a vanilla lavendar almond milk iced latte and it was delicious!
Shortwave is one of the best coffee shops in town. I always love getting either a vanilla chai or a cardamom drink. Very very tasty and delicious. You can definitely taste the excellent quality In the drinks unlike other local coffee shops around town. The pastries 🍰 are amazing too! The coffee drinks are well worth the price you pay and is consistent most of the time I go. Thanks for the excellent coffee and service shortwave!
This place is an amazing little coffee shop, definitely worth the effort to find. Great service from a local, family-owned business, and a charming atmosphere with everything you'd want in a coffee shop. I'll definitely make this a regular stop each time I'm in the area!
Best Cold Brew in CoMo! Their beans are roasted fresh in-house. Cool downtown space with lots of comfortable seating and a great place to study. Check em out in Alley A!
Great lattes, espresso, pour over. Some of the best prepared coffee I've had, better than the vast majority of third wave coffee shops I've been to in NYC, Chicago, Seattle, etc. Their baristas/roasters are legit. Highly recommended.
