Formerly Allean's, you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Try the Surf & Turf Trio with Sticky Wings and two sides of your choice. Great food, great people!

My wife and I went there last night using a Local Flavor voucher. I had the fried chicken and she had the fried flounder. They were both very good, especially the fish. The portions are big, just finished my leftover chicken for lunch. The mac n cheese was great too. The service was top notch, and the friendliness we encountered, not just by the family running the place, but by the other diners was incredible.

Overall bad experience. The wait was way too long. Once I got my food, I already saw a problem. The fries were very soggy. But I decided to give them the benefit of doubt. I went home RE-fried my fries and heated the rest of my food. The Mac and cheese was the worst part. I have never came across Mac and cheese that has tasted like straight sugar. I couldn’t even finish it. For a place that charges that much for “soul food”, you would expect a good quality of food. They really are a bad representation of southern cooking. I would not recommend, save your money!!

From the moment we walk through the door, we are greeted by name. The food is always prepared well. My personal favorite is the fried flounder. Sooo good! My husband and I always have dinner left over between us! Great atmosphere!

Really wanted to like this place.....but. To begin, I will say that the establishment was very clean and appeared nice. My party ordered 3 meals so we had a decent sampling of food. The wait was super long (35 minutes) for food that shouldn't have taken that long to prep. They have a very loud front door alert in the customer section of restaurant that not only beeps but audibly says "front door open". Hearing this dozens of times over the course of 35 mins in the restaurant was super annoying and unnecessary. This should definitely be moved to the back in the kitchen where it actually needs to be heard by the staff. The macaroni and cheese was super sweet. I've had baked Mac n cheese with a little sugar in it, but this Mac n cheese was more sweet than cheesy. Any flavor was overpowered by sugar. Surprisingly, the string beans with smoked turkey were sweet as well! They had a sweet vinegary taste. Not good at all. The fries were very undercooked and mushy. The fried flounder was over-fried to the point the fish was dried out. Lastly, the red velvet cake needs to be renamed. The color was off and looked like regular cake dyed primary red, not the deep red color you expect. The cake tasted flour-y and sweet with no distinct flavor. The frosting was not good. Did not taste like cream cheese frosting at all although it looked like it. My companion says that the fried chicken at Publix was better than the one he ordered. You will receive a large portion of less than mediocre food. Better soul food could be found at a chain restaurant, and considering each plate averaged $12-14 with no drink we would have been better off going elsewhere. They have a great location but the recipes needs to be reworked. Definitely lay off the sugar.

If I could give it zero stars I would.. the Mac and cheese was too sweet . Also the green beans had too much sugar in it.the red velvet cake tasted really horrible it tastes like the color red. Banana pudding should never taste like THAT! Sticky Chicken more like Icky Chicken wings and trash.the fries were under cooked. I would of been happier with MacDonalds.waited 43 mins for my food. Unacceptable!
