China Chef

The chicken was so tough you could barely eat it! The rice was chewy! The dumplings I ordered were cold and didn't taste right! This place is an insult to Chinese food! I don't see how they're still in business! And there's people eating their food is the weird thing! That's why I use the extra gas to go to Peking gourmet off of garners Ferry across the street from lower Richland high School! Their food is amazing and what Chinese food is supposed to taste like! If you're used to nasty Chinese food and used to food hurting your teeth and continue eating China chef! But if you want real good Chinese food and enjoyable and can keep the food down then go to pick and gourmet or Chinese America! I wouldn't give their food to my dog!

I got the seven cut wings special. I ordered just the regular flavored wings and house fried rice. Now starting with the chicken it was so tough and dry...not even the duck sauce and hot sauce made it have any flavor. It was also burnt like they used real old grease. Then the rice had burnt onions, under cooked peas, burnt ham and burnt rice. My first and very last time going there.....I recommend going to another Chinese restaurant

Egg drop soup had no flavor, fried wontons were cold, tough and chewy and rice was bland. Highly disappointed because I was craving chinese on a cold rainy day. I called to ask if I brought food back, would I get a refund and they simply said "No refunds" and hung up on me. You cannot enter the establishment, they have cardboard covering the door with a little piece cut out covered with plastic they hand you food through...I should have known it wasn't going to be good!

Good good. It appears this place is under newer ownership. Used to work on this side years ago and enjoyed the food then. However when I came in it noticed a new set of people and menu. I'm glad and stayed ordered because the food is even better than before. I love their Sesame Chicken and so did my friend, more so than his shrimp with garlic sauce. I agree. The garlic sauce was real lite tasting buy not horrible.

My egg rolls consisted of MULTIPLE layers of outer roll with virtually no pork or vegetables inside. I got home ready to dig in, and it was like I got sold some bunk food. The egg rolls looked rather small too begin with and they were fried too hard. Pitiful. I understand inflation...but, you simply can't sell people empty egg rolls and expect them to come back. The egg drop soup got them two stars. It's always been good...thus far. Beware of the infamous empty egg roll!

This was my first time coming here, I knew I should have drove out but anyway my rice was very gummy, no taste at all. How can they even still be in business, they gave me two scoops of rice, not kidding at all! Then the honey don't taste like honey and chicken wings was very burnt. I Do not recommend!!!
