Panera Bread

This was like my fourth or fifth visit to this location. I placed an online order for "rapid pickup". I got to the store and it wasn't ready. I found out that they had called to tell me that the bagel the Steak and Egg was to be on was out. I found it funny because I customized the order which included switching the bagel type. I decided to order another item since I had to wait. The good thing was I didn't have to pay for my second item. I didn't even ask for anything to be done to assuage the situation.

The food is almost always excellent. But when you're paying $25 for two dinky sandwiches and a bag of chips, it's time to re-think your price structure. Also, the restaurant is almost always dirty, with crumbs and chips all over the table tops. I can't remember the last time I went to a Panera with clean tables, actually. I understand it's a quick turnaround time, but come on, get someone out on the floor once in a while.

I visit this location often and I’m always happy with the food & service, especially when Valerie is working! She is an awesome example of how management should supervise, plus she remembers just about every customer either by name or face! I hope Panera knows what they have in this young lady, she makes you feel so welcomed.

This Panera is better than the one downtown in my opinion. Even so, they have room for improvement. The food is generally good, but it's mainly the staff that can be unreliable, depending on the time and day. For instance, the other afternoon around 3, I ended up checking the bathroom 3 times because there was no tissue in the ladies room, over the course of an hour and a half. Also, I witnessed a manager having to pretty much argue with 2 workers to get back to work. I thought were off duty by the way they were sitting down chatting. Turns out they were still on duty and were just not working. Not a good look, especially when me and several other customers were sitting in the same area. But then today I go in, bathrooms are clean and all the employees are working. This was mid morning. Again, pretty solid experience, I guess just depends on the day and time. 🤷

Although I love the food, I have to give them a 2 for customer service. I placed an order for delivery on Friday and I never got my food. I called several times and no answered the phone. When I finally got through it was after 2:00 and I place the order around 11:50 AM. They ordered no apologies and after going back and forth with them they said they would refund my money to my card. It is Monday and I called to check on the status of my refund. Well, I was informed that it would not go back to my card and they would have to give me a gift card. Then I was informed that I would have to go pick up the gift card. I stated that it was sad the they do not show more consideration for their customers especially since it was their error. i even had a deliver person call and said he was on the way and he never showed up. I give them a lot of busy and my place of business give them a lot of business as well and then the manager said, "Well, we can offer you a Pick Two to accommodate you." I appreciate that but somehow she made it see as though I was problem. I guess I will have to look for another place for my lunch orders.
