I really like Village Inn because they offer a pick 4 option where you can make your own breakfast plate. I don't eat eggs so this is great for me. It's also great for the kids. They can get all their favorites. The employees are always nice. At our latest visit we had a server named Love. She was great with the kids are got our order perfect. The restaurant is always clean and service is usually timely. Now the issue I have is that they tend to run out of stuff. In our latest visit they were out of bananas for the strawberry banana pancakes. AND they were out of the pie that was the main reason for our visit. I'm not a pie eater. In fact, I hate pie - except the Chocolate European pie they have about once a year. When I found out this was the time of what I consider the only pie worth eating, we gathered the children & old people and drove way to fast to our neighborhood Village Inn. Guess what? Even though there was an advertisement on the table for the master of all pies, they were out. Not only were they out but as tears streamed down our sad little faces, we were informed they were not getting anymore. So we ate our food that was truly meant to only be a precursor to Chocolate European Pie, the advertisement of the pie we couldn't have, sat on our table mocking us. So to Village Inn powers-that-be, I have questions. What the heck??? Why do you only offer this royal pie once a year? Why do you only have such a small amount of them? And for God sakes, why do you leave the advertisement on the table for something you neither have nor will offer any time in the near future??? Lastly, how can I know when this rare, delectable treat will be available again? My parents are old. They may not have another year. I'd like to reserve one... or 5.
There was a long wait (about 45-50 min) for our food the day we went, but the manager made it right by offering us a slice of free pie. Luckily we were not pressed for time, but could have found the experience more frustrating if we were. Overall, food tasted great and the coffee was surprisingly good. Will definitely return.
My family and I love eating here, but only this location. We’ve had great service no matter the time we came to eat. The staff is always friendly and they know the menu well (not very common anymore at most restaurants). The pies are the best, and worth the trip alone! It’s one of our favorite “go to” restaurants.
Always love this place, but today ran into our first issue here. I let the waitress know there was something very wrong with the coke slaw, thinking it was rotten. She didn't offer anything. So the meal we paid for was lacking it's side. Not the end of the world but certainly disappointing. I highly recommend the fish and chips regardless.
The staff here is wonderful, Jada and Amber really seemed to go above and beyond even for a small purchase and a couple slices of free pie. Pie didn't look great and could've been baked longer but was good otherwise. Store is clean as well as being a family friendly environment.
We live up the street and visit all of the time. Most of the time service is excellent. The price for the food is always excellent. The two times the staff has made us wait too long or got our order wrong, the management stepped in and gave us a discount and free pie and took care of us. This is my favorite village inn in town. It is also new and very clean, which I like. And the food is good, which is the point. A whole restaurant isn't bad because one waitress had one bad day.
I always love coming here, been eating here for years ans years. Now that I'm adult, i continue to frequent your establishment. No one in town has better breakfast than you guys. Your service has always been outstanding and the food is always good. I have never had 1 single, tiny itty bitty complaint in the 30 some odd years I have been coming here. This was always a family favorite and will continue to be a family favorite for the rest of my life.
Please stay open forever!
Michele is a really great server. She has a very comforting, calming demeanor; taking our orders and seeing to our needs with excellence. The food was delicious as well and brought out without too much wait. Good place for brunch!
I didn't write this review until my fourth visit and plan to return again.
This is a nice casual restaurant with a good selection of menu items.
They also serve breakfast all day long, but I haven't yet tried their breakfast.
The two of us have enjoyed each meal we've ordered. We have each repeated a previous menu item and found a slight bit of inconsistency in the food but it was good in both cases.
Great place for some good basic meals without added cost for themed atmosphere and extras.
Very friendly staff, clean environment, we will return.
I went here with friends late one Wednesday night. They were telling me about free pie. The restaurant name puzzles me, I remember a chain of motels in Texas with this name. I ordered pancakes, sausage, eggs, and hasbrowns and a Dr Pepper to wash it down with. In my opinion it was all delicious, and filling, when it came time to pay and get the free pie, I wasn't interested in the free pie anymore.
The restaurant was about medium busy (wasn't overly crowded, but there were quite a few people in there eating). The time between ordering and receiving the food was a little longer than expected. The place was clean at the time of our visit. The price to portions was good. (About $10 per entree). Parking is plentiful and free.
