They have a really nice selection of loose leave teas and they make good coffee (espresso type). This is a good place to catch up with a friend, read a book (they also sell books next door), have a glass of wine, write a blog, etc. Nice hang out place
Great place to have a relaxing cup of tea and have lunch with friends or to do homework. Very friendly environment with positive energy. Their gluten free pizza is amazing!
Brewed coffee is not the greatest but the mochas are great and the hot chocolate is fantastic.
Great hangout spot with live music on the weekends. Gets loud crowded, but walk into the connected bookstore for quiet eatting. Good, interesting, but pricy food and drink. Free wifi and cheap pots of tea make it my favorite study locale.
Rico’s Cafe & Wine Bar is a decidedly tonier destination for a mid-morning meeting of girlfriends or for checking email along with a coffee and good fruit muffin.
I love their single slice pizzas to order! Their pizza slices are huge! I ordered two slices, but one was more than enough. Their pizza crust is nice and crispy on the edges (I prefer crisp pizza over soggy flimsy pizza). They have plenty of vegan options to include a variety of vegan pastries. They do, however, run out of vegan pastries from time to time. I highly recommend the chickpea bar with chocolate chips (I don't remember what it's actually called). They also have a big hot tea menu, which I love! Yhe staff if very friendly and helpful when I've asked for drink and food recommendations. They have a ton of unique cards for almost any occasion, a good selection of books to choose from, and live music on select evenings (check their website). There's plenty of seating and metered parking. Please know that this place can get loud during the evenings, but it personally doesn't bother me.
Rico’s Café is a great place to have coffee/tea and just relax. Not only is it a coffee shop, they have a wide selection of greeting cards and gifts to choose from. The tea and coffee selection is very large, this is a great place to relax, study and shop for small gifts.
Great little Cafe, too bad their isn't more to do downtown in CoS. It's very bar, bar bar, cafe, cafe, cafe, food, food, food. There is no real entertainment that isn't built around drinking and food (coffee included).
This is a great place to relax over a glass of wine and a sandwich from Poor Richard's or a pastry from Rico's.
After a long day of adventuring we decided to end our ToUsDay with Coffee and dessert, which led us to Rico’s. We both had the maple hazelnut latte and oh my goodness it was amazing. Not overly sweet. Just right!!! The baristas were friendly, the atmosphere was fun and comfortable. I’d definitely recommend this place!!!
Loose leaf tea, sipping chocolate, coffee, or wine with a light meal or pastry sound good? Then this place is *perfect* to go to for it. Laid back stmosphere. Affordable menu prices. Staff is really chill. Oh and the bathroom is unisex.
Five star service. The staff was kind and nice. The food was phenomenal!
so great. love the drinks, the staff, the atmosphere. everyone is so good at their jobs they all deserve raises
Great live music and the person at register was super friendly. Not much space to sit but it was a very busy night so it was understandable most seats were taken.
Amazing service. All the staff are very helpful with menu choices. Great atmosphere with music playing at a reasonable volume. They also have live music during the evenings.
A fine selection of healthy food choices(regular diet, gluten free, and vegetarian and vegan), and great drink selections(including wine, beer, coffee, sodas, and hot and cold teas).
It comes with the best of bonuses - a connection to 3 other businesses - Poor Richard's (books both new and used and other small items), Little Richard's (a toy and game store for kids of all ages), and Poor Richard's Restaurant (pizza!)
Best place in Colorado Springs!
