I went today for the Sunday brunch and the wife and myself enjoyed ourselves! Loved the patio, great mountain views! I ate the sunday brunch which was 100% worth it, my wife had the fajita burrito and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
There was a new waitress Janel who was fantastic as well, she just completed the whole experience! We will definitely be returning!

We all have our “Mexican Food” biases. Find what you like! Good place, nice people...but I always sit at bar or patio.
Not a fan of the changes in the happy hour menu, but hey...things change.

Fresh Mexican fare, reminiscent of authentic Mexican food, service blasé. Waitress looked like 29 miles of bad road. Really interesting chocolate mints.
Wow.. all the negative reviews.. this place isnt that bad guys. Be careful.. with this attitude we will be left with fancy nights out at Taco Bell!! That said, first thing I like is the salsa bowl is large. I hate when they give you a bowl that barely holds 3 teaspoons of salsa. The service has always been friendly and nice. I have had two occasions where they were slow on the beers, and I got two free beers. So I really cant complain. I am sort of willing to be extra patient for free beer! The food is good, some things better then others. Fajitas are decent(check the specials), and the molcajete is real good. Overall a great place to grab a decent mexican meal.
My family and I love Amanda's Fonda and think you should really give it a chance. We think the ambience is great we like the food and the service is always been fast.The chips are usually fresh in the salsa is homemade and good if you like onions. Actually I think they have two salsas to choose from. We have been there over a dozen times both at Briargate and in Manitou. The only negative thing we can say is we once received poor service. We have never had bad food there.

Pretty decent, exact opposite of these other reviews.... My wife and two children came here on a whim, saw that they had a New Year's Special going on with Chicken Fajitas for 2, Pitcher Margaritas, Queso/Chips/Salsa, and Fried Ice Cream for dessert for $30, kids ate free on top of all that.
The food was good for the price, the servers came by no less than 10 times to make sure that everything tasted good and that we had everything we needed. Seriously excellent service, but not too crowded so maybe it might have been different if it was packed.
The margaritas were good and strong, the kids enjoyed the food, the chips were fresh and the queso and salsa were tasty and not at all bland like these other reviews have said. I was on urbanspoon looking for other places to eat tonight and saw that Amanda's Fonda definitely did not have the rating I expected. Maybe they've had a change in personnel and/or mgmt, because as I mentioned this place was not at all as these reviews have indicated, at least in our experience.
Great experience. We've been to the other location several times and were excited for the new restaurant on this side of town to open up. We've already been to the new location twice and have had a great experience both times. The food is just as good, if not better, than the other one. During happy hour pitchers of the house margaritas are half off and were not a disappointment. I have found that the margaritas in most Mexican restaurants are terrible--too much ice and margarita mix. These margaritas had plenty of tequila and weren't too sweet and sugary. The service both times was fantastic The chips were always warm and the waitress promptly offered refills on both chips and salsa whenever we were starting to get low. I'm not sure why so many people are giving negative reviews but we LOVE it and will continue to go back. Can't wait for their outdoor patio to open up...

Great Mexican restaurant located near Chapel Hills Mall and the South entrance of the Air Force Academy. The inside is clean and colorful, the staff is friendly and the food is both tasty and reasonably priced. They bring out baskets of complimentary chips and salsa to snack on while you're waiting for your meal. Recommended.

Came back for lunch. Preferred the sampler platter. Food and service terrific. Prices very reasonable. No reason to change my rating. Recommended, especially for lunch. Try the nachos

Great place! Great food and service. Came here got the carne asada and my husband got the steak burrito. Both came with a lot of food. Food was amazing and server was great.
