I never review on Facebook but absolutely loved this place. Great drinks and great atmosphere. Our server, George, was very attentive and gave a great drink recommendation. Will definitely be back. And the whole place smells glorious from the charred oak at the bar.

Came to visit from El Paso, TX and stopped in for a drink and to check out their music night. The atmosphere and vibe was fantastic and the service was in point. I really enjoyed the music and will definitely stop by again when I visit Springs in the future.

My husband and I recently went on a vacation to Colorado Springs and happened to stumble upon Axe and the Oak Whiskey House. I'm so glad we did, Emily and all of her co-workers were top-notch employees. They make a mean whiskey sour and my husband could not recommend the blackberry old fashioned more. Don't sleep on the butterscotch liquor either, it's life changing. Wished we lived closer to be regulars. Keep up the good work guys.

Dillon and Emily were absolute rockstars!! Of all the cocktail bars I’ve stumbled upon, this one is second to none. Highly suggest the “bartender’s whim” and let these artists work. Every single cocktail we had was a masterpiece. I cannot recommend this place enough.

I’m not a whiskey drinker ordinarily. So the fact that Axe & Oak can make some drinks that a non-whiskey drinker like myself can enjoy puts them in the upper rankings of nicer drinking spots in my heart. The atmosphere here was very intimate and fitting of a speakeasy vibe. I really loved it. All the staff were helpful and attentive and didn’t act like snobs when I admitted I didn’t know what I was doing. I was recommended the Noble Experiment which is a fantastic cherry infused cocktail. It wasn’t overpowering but the hints of whiskey present were still enjoyable and spoke of good quality. I also tried the old fashioned as I got braver and that was also amazing. My only one complaint is that the band they had in that night was way too loud. The band was good - so it’s not about quality of entertainment - but the sound was too loud for such a small space and didn’t match the chill vibe that Axe & Oak seems to be about. My buddy informed me that usually they have more laid back folk and acoustic styles music, in which case would’ve been preferable. But I’ll go back and try to catch a night with a less rock-infused band.

The decor is cool and hotel-spot elegant. I had duck wings (delish) and crab cake (good) on brussel sprouts. The bartender knew what he was doin but they were out of big rocks, nbd but their scotch and cocktails arent fancy without it. I'd probably give five stars, especially considering the neighborhood, but i realized after leaving that i had a HUGE streak of sauce on my face from the duck wings! Everyone saw it, they said nothing.

This is a fantastic Whiskey House. Their house drinks and overall drink menu are incredible. Their wait staff and bartenders are top notch and the atmosphere is great as well.

Swanky bar with super friendly bartenders and a menu filled with great cocktails. The tobacco old fashioned was delicious and very smooth (pictured along with the Chai Moonshine Sour). We really enjoyed how our bartender took the time to give us some background on their liquors and drinks.

Absolutely love this place. An amazing atmosphere, with friendly servers. We had the opertunity to meet one of the owners. He was a down to earth whiskey lover who really opened our eyes to all the different pallets we could enjoy with whiskey.
