My family and I came here to celebrate my birthday! The staff was so kind and helped make the occasion even more special! The atmosphere there is unlike any restaurant I've ever eaten at; even though you're dining out, you're still at home! Our meal was brought out to us so quickly and it was just amazing! I highly recommend making a trip on a Friday to enjoy some of their chicken fried steak! It was the best I've ever had! My favorite part was ending the meal with a slice of homemade apple pie! Although it did cost a little extra, it was worth every cent! Thank you everyone at JVR for an incredible experience. I will definitely be returning!!

Love the soul country cooking❤️The fried chicken was so crunchy and crisp with great flavor. Haven’t had riced potatoes since leaving Germany years ago. Such a nice memory and potatoes with gravy, yum. Thank you for the beautiful setting and delicious food.

Such a relaxing and great dinner experience. The staff was so welcoming and friendly. The food was amazing fresh and can tell it was cooked from scratch with love. Was a great overall experience. If u are looking for fresh homemade cooking this is the place to be.!!

My wife & I came here after a friend recommended going on a Sunday to get their Nashville hot chicken special & man, am I glad we did! The service was great, the small old homey atmosphere was comforting, the food was amazing (probably the best fried chicken & apple butter I’ve ever had), & the price was very reasonable for everything included (appetizers, family style entree with all the fixins, & dessert). Absolutely recommend this place!!

Super cool old traditional dinner joint. We ate in. They serve everything family style with a very condensed menu and have been around since 1951, so what they serve has got to be great, and it is! Super service and the 70 seat venue is really nostalgic, with cool old art and antique motif. We'd be happy to go back any time. Get a reservation or you'll be waiting some time!

First of all, make reservations, we didn't but thankfully a group didn't show & we got their table! Izzy and the staff were great, she explained the family-style meal and all were helpful & efficient. Our meal was also great, we got a few options so we could all share our entrees & dessert. Unfortunately we don't live close enough to return, so enjoy your meal & service.

4-23-23 100pm MAKE RESERVATIONS! The place is clean, warm and inviting. I got to sit next to the cast iron cook stove that had a fire going. Very nice on a cold day. Our waitress Izzy was an all star. She took care of our table of 6 and a couple of other tables. Izzy never missed a beat. I had the chicken. The chicken and the sides were outstanding! Over all a great experience! I highly recommend this restaurant and sitting with Izzy.

We had a wonderful dinner at Juniper Valley Ranch. My daughter and I had the chicken fried steak and my son had the ham. All delicious. Desserts come with dinner. I forgot to take pics of our meals... I guess we were too hungry. Lol Enjoy!

One of the best meals in a restaurant I’ve ever had. Everything is from scratch, served family style. Rich in history, the atmosphere is welcoming; an adobe structure with a fireplace that gives off a great smell and makes you feel very cozy. Fried chicken is crispy, but not overly greasy. It’s by far the best I’ve ever had. The riced potatoes are light and yummy, but the gravy that comes with them is the perfect texture with tons of flavor. The okra/green bean casserole is amazing. I was surprised because I’m not much of a green vegetable eater but this has a little heat and some unique spices. Cole slaw is a bit of cabbage heaven. It’s a little sweet with a little bit of vinegar. Cherry cider starter is fun and tasty. I had the flan and chocolate pecan pie for dessert. Like everything there, it did not disappoint. I asked how they made some of this stuff and they said it’s a highly guarded family secret. Staff super friendly and proud to be a part of something so special. For the taste and quantity of food, the price is very very reasonable. Wish they were open year round. I don’t know how I’m going to make it to spring without this place.

Solid dining room with attentive and welcoming service. The fried chicken is delightful, not too fried, greasy, or dry. The potatoes aren’t that flavorful, but all the other sides make up for that. They’ll give you a refill on the food too! Get the homemade desserts—you’ll be glad you saved some room!

Had my birthday celebration there last night. Absolutely will be back. We had a total of 8 people the service was great and they handled everything perfectly. The food was amazing this was the BEST CHICKEN FRIED STEAK we've had in Colorado.

Delicious food from scratch and an amazing atmosphere. Had a wonderful Father's day dinner. We had the ham and skillet fried chicken. No complaints about any of the food and the service was quick! Definitely make a reservation and make sure you go HUNGRY. The only part of the meal you can take to go is the chicken and biscuits. Plus they refill all your food if you want more!
