Everything about Sushi Ato was fantastic! The fish is high quality and super fresh. The chefs are genuine craftsmen; even traditional dishes have a unique flair or surprising component. I highly recommend the Chirashi Don...magnificent. The service is top notch and the staff are personable and attentive. I've been to many, MANY sushi bars in the Pacific Northwest, California Coast, and across the U.S. and Sushi Ato ranks at the top. Oishii Desu Yo!
We finally tried Sushi Ato, one year after opening, and man, are we idiots for waiting so long. We’ve been missing out on this neighborhood gem. It’s not only the best sushi in Colorado Springs, it ranks right up there with memorable experiences had elsewhere in cities known for their sushi. The wait staff is friendly and attentive; the atmosphere is inviting; and the rolls are out of this world. Eye-rolling delicious. We tried three kinds: Volcano, Colorado, and Avalanche 1. Creative and scrumptious. Can’t wait to go back. Hope it gets enough business because it deserves it.
Great sushi. They have a gluten free menu and gluten free soy sauce, so I can eat here confidently. Unlike other sushi restaurants, they also tell you how you can modify rolls to make them gluten free (like ordering with real crab), so there’s many more options for rolls. Love this place!
Wow. Excellent fish and nice views of the mountains. I try to avoid rolls and rice when I eat sushi. This place exceeded my expectations by far. Aui gave me some recommendations, and everything she suggested was delicious. The sashimi is excellent, and the portions are a great value. They cut the sashimi thicker, and i appreciate that. The kama is so good definitely order it if they have any left, I love how they present the kama raw, and then they grill it to perfection. If you want high-quality fish at a reasonable price, I highly recommend Ato. Hands down best sushi I have had in the springs.
Absolutely loved everything about this place. The food was delicious. The service was attentive, friendly, and quick to address every request.
I indulged and went with four different rolls. I definitely want to revisit here the next time I'm in town. There are *so* many things on the menu that I haven't yet tried.
Absolutely fantastic location for a relaxed lunch. After running a few errands, my mother and received excellent food and service; I ordered the California Sesame Roll and had my expectations blown away for such a simple roll. My mom ordered coconut shrimp and a house salad and had nothing but praise. I highly recommend Sushi Ato as it has impressed me every time I've went.
Sushi was okay. Tokoyaki was good. Udon soup was good. The bigger sushi was to sweet for us. The one with Jalapeños was better. Busy on a Friday night.
This place is so ridiculously good I'd eat myself broke if given the opportunity. I've had so many different sushi places in town and this one is definitely a top choice!
I took my girl L and her gf K there for dinner, first time there. Neither are hard core sushi/sashimi folks, but they're getting converted. The food here is uniformly excellent. We had the (using English names mostly, as most people have little Japanese): giant clam sushi, squid salad, fried squid, miso soup, Hamachi kama (Yellowtail tuna collar), a Rainbow roll, and an Air Force roll (of course!), and I ordered one uni for each of us. The ladies decided they're not uni fans, so I slurped those down. We proceeded to demolish most of the food. The Hamachi kama portion that was taken and cooked for us was exquisite, and was a huge hit with the ladies, and myself - the raw preparation was good, but the cooked collar is exquisite. Our leftovers are in the fridge, and may not survive the night. We'll torch the Hamachi and eat that, though we may bake it. The service we experienced was great, though English was clearly either a 2nd language or they were learning. The only issue was actually hearing them speak, as the background noise was there (acoustics were not as bad as the brew pubs), their voices (female) are high, and I'm deaf at those freqs. L heard and understood them, so she dealt with those the times she needed too. We could readily converse, so the acoustics weren't horrible.. They had a delightful melon soju, which I didn't even try to finish. That was stapled into bags for the trip home. The prices were what I expected in today's economy - high across the board, as fuel costs much more than it did previously. We shared everything family style. It was a delightful and delicious meal. The atmosphere was ok - the panoramic windows are pretty, but near them in the winter, it's going to be cold, but great view. Note the uni is priced at one piece of sushi per order, for about $14/each. Yeah. The lighting was notable, in that we could actually see our food and each other, instead of the perpetual gloom and low light of many restaurants these days. The reason there's only one picture is I was too busy eating. Recommended.
Great sushi. Great service.
Coming from the east coast I’ve been hesitant to order sushi in Colorado. After reading the reviews I’m happy I gave it a try!
The spicy tuna salad and crispy tuna appetizers are fantastic.
We only ordered speciality rolls so I can’t speak to the sashimi, but everything was fresh and delicious.
The ramen I saw go by looked amazing and I look forward to returning to try it, however it will be hard to not order the sushi!
We love Japanese cuisine. Visiting from outer state we went there late evening end of June. Each of us ordered different sushi rolls. All four rols were fantastic. We recommend to be there early enough because the place is packed.
The food, service, and atmosphere were good. My son loves ramen and they came through with top notch food. I think this is his favorite ramen restaurant in the Springs now. We’ll be back.
