First of all.. dont go here if your looking for a true mexican food experience(at least in comparison to the other restuarants in the area). If you want some good food, and a wide variet of salsa's and sauces... you really cant go wrong. I think the negative reviews are a bit harsh. If you have kids.. kids meals are great value. Food is decent, atmosphere is chain "ish" but nothing that would make this a bad spot to stop. In fact I like the sauce and salsa variety.

I would recommend this restaurant for both, service and food to everyone I know. Five stars and then some.
I've been here now between 9-11 times. I have yet to be disappointed. Every menu item is very tasty, and every margarita is super delicious! I would highly recommend this restaurant for a Mexican cuisine.
Pretty good!. I had the lunch combination platter. I wasn't impressed with the cheese enchilada, but the chile relleno and the beans were fantastic. I liked the huge choice of sauces. Food came out very fast, and the service was great.

Best Mexican in COS!! The salsa had flavor, not just a tomato taste, and the chips were light, not thick! The shrimp fajita was delicious, and the waitress brought out 3 different sauces to try. The server was excellent, and the patio table was worth the wait!!
Excellent Mexican food and upstairs has gorgeous mountain views. But all that pales in comparison to their chocolate cake dessert. Absolutely the best I've had, bar none.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Now THIS is what Mexican food should taste like!!! We have been wanting to try Hacienda for a while now, and even drove past a few times while looking for something new. I kept reading the reviews and it made me hesitant. I am so glad we just blew off the negative reviews and went!
First off, it's a very nicely decorated little place. Great views if you are sitting outside, and inside is just as appealing. The only thing that I was thinking was it would be fabulous if they had more booths instead of tables.
Chips and salsa. This is how I first rate a Mexican restuarant. Chips were warm, thin and crisp- perfect. The salsa was super fresh tasting! Great start! I also got the lunch margarita on the rocks and let me just say, while it's a smaller version of a regular margarita, they do not skimp on the tequila!
Barbacoa chimi is what my husband ordered and he was not let down! I tasted it also and let me just say-- crisp and full of flavor! His side of beans had a great taste as well. I had a hard time deciding what to order- everything sounded good. I ended up going with the street tacos. HOLY FLAVOR PUNCH TO THE FACE!!!! I don't think I will ever order anything else from there--- I got the side of habanero sauce and that threw it over the edge! There was so much going on to begin with, but I like a little heat, so every few bites got the habanero sauce added. It was difficult because the flavors alone were so outstanding, but then I had to mix it up with the sauce. Either way, you can't go wrong ordering these!!! I was bummed that my order didn't come with the same beans as my husband, but after one taste of the black beans, I was completely pleased! I have never been a huge fan of black beans, but the seasoning that they use on theirs has won me over!!! The rice was pretty good as well, but I ended up adding some of the habanero to that too.
I'm not sure what people are used to as far as portion size by the reviews I read, but mine came with rice, black beans, a side sauce and 3 street tacos loaded-- I could only eat one!
We ordered the tres leche and weren't totally impressed with that-- we will try the flan next time. After having tres leche at El Taco Rey this one didn't really compare. After the amazing meal we had though, dessert wasn't even necessary. I don't hold it against them.
Let me finish by saying that this is by far the BEST Mexican/Tex-mex/Colorado-Mex I have ever had in my entire life. The flavors they pull together is something I haven't seen anywhere else. From one lunch alone, this is now our favorite place to go!!!!!!!!!!!!! Heaven on a plate!
We enjoyed it. The wait was about 30 minutes so we sat at the bar. It was busy and yes, a little noisy, but nothing you wouldn't expect with a full house. The restaurant is really nice. The patio areas are inviting. Our food was great. The service from the bar staff was good too. I recommend the poblano pepper stuffed with chicken. It is amazing. The skinny Rita was fine. I didn't like my husband's classic margarita, but he did, so that's all that matters.
The food was good and the service was great. I didn't like that they sat us in the upstairs bar. If I wanted that I would have gone to a Chili's. A server was walking around asking tables if they ordered some sort of burrito. All in all it was good experience.
The atmosphere is nice but the decor doesn't say Mexican restaurant nor does the music playing. Our waiter was a little less than attentive and when I asked for additional salsa after our meal didn't arrive with any for the tacos, he never brought it. Food was ok at best. Certainly doesn't taste like authentic Mexican food. The beans were different but good, the rice was horrible. Was good to try but I wouldn't return.
Had the truck tacos here... really delicious! Perfect level of crunch from the cabbage slaw and full of flavor. They had a number of things to choose from though and I'm really confident I would have loved anything else I could have ordered. Went all out and got the chocolate pinata for our group... (which really does take a number of people to eat) and it was amazing. It wasn't overly sweet and was just right. Desert for everyone!
Texans here.. we’re a bit particular of our Mexican food and Hacienda Colorado did not disappoint! The salsa and queso were great. The service was quick. And the fajita combo was phenomenal! I was surprised at how large and upscale this restaurant was. Would definitely recommend this to others.
Everything is Grand here! Grand doorways! Grand drinks! Grand meals! And Grand atmosphere! It was our 3rd collective visit to Colorado Springs and an experience we could not pass up. They have a very large selection of margaritas. Delicious! If you like shrimp and bacon, you’ll love the Baja Shrimp plate. This is the only place I have seen this dish. Thank you to the entire staff for making it such a great experience!
We had a company get together here last week, and even though our reservation didn’t get saved, they were able to make it work. The bartender upstairs served us, and he did a great job! We were a party of 15-20, so he had his hands full, but handled it so well. Once drinks were finally out, everything went super smooth, and the food was fantastic. Not to mention-the view!
This is a nice restaurant with a good ambiance. The food is pricey for what you get, and nothing is very spicy. The best part of this place is the atmosphere, it feels like a nicer, more upscale restaurant.
Nice, clean facility. The food was really good overall. We had the bacon wrapped bourbon shrimp, which was excellent. I had the fish tacos, which were very good. They were not spicy but great flavor. My friend had the Carne asada fajitas, he loved those, the meat was cooked perfectly. The only complaint was that the black beans were incredibly salty. I definitely recommend for an fairly priced Mexican meal.
All good. Chips, salsa, white queso dip. Then enchiladas and the biggest chimichanga I've ever seen. Nice quiet lunch in the springs.
Great food every time I have been here. This time I had the Colorado Changa with chicken and hatch green chili sauce and it was fabulous. I could eat that sauce like a soup, it's so tasty and thick. The Colorado Swirl margarita was also amazing, a tasty and colorful mix of frozen margarita and sangria. Heavenly.
The ambiance is pleasant, with lots of west-facing windows for mountain views and a patio as well. This is one of the places I visit every summer while I'm in town.
