We stopped by here on a quiet Sunday night around 7. The restaurant was pretty quiet and we were seated immediately. Hostess and wait staff we're all polite and attentive.
The menus actually pretty nice, lots of different variety. I ordered the blonde ale, and the grilled chicken sandwich. I actually liked the beer a lot, I was looking for something lighter and it was definitely that, but still had lots of flavor.
My grilled chicken sandwich was pretty decent, though the chicken itself was a bit dry. I enjoyed the extras on it, like the avocado and bacon, and the bun was good. I had coleslaw on the side and the coleslaw was pretty good. It could have used a little more commitment either to the sweet side or salty side, it was kind of right in between.
My wife got a burger with brussel sprouts on the side. She liked her burger toppings as well, but also found her beef to be a bit dry for cooked medium. Her brussel sprouts had good flavor but were drowning in oil, which was a little odd. You can see all the oil in the bottom of the container in the picture.
My kids got the bison Bolognese and mac and cheese, and both of those seemed pretty good, no real complaints. Mac and cheese is always a hit of course, and the beer cheese flavor wasn't too strong. The kids also got their homemade root beer, and that was quite good.
I honestly would have gone 3.5 stars if that was an option, but I'll go 4 because the people and atmosphere were nice.
It was a very nice place and the food was pretty good!
Our server didn't go over happy hour specials with us, so we bought the larger beer size not on happy hour. She told us after we were ordering appetizers that the cup of Buffalo Chili Queso (delicious) was in happy hour, but the bowl wasn't. I think we could have been checked on a bit more as well. The restroom and restaurant were both very clean!
Overall though, the staff was solid, the food was pretty good and it had a nice view of the mountains. Overall, I'd recommend.
My family is in Colorado Springs from New England and we found this restaurant a week before our trip as just something near by. We did not expect to have the best food and service we’ve had in years. I don’t normally leave reviews but I had to.
Our server, who was the bartender, and apologies for not remembering their name, was light and so kind. I’m a picky eater and I know that’s hard but they didn’t even stumble with the questions/substitutions I had. We got the pretzels & the venison egg rolls for appetizers and if they came in bucket portions, I would’ve eaten it all and that says something because again, I’m picky. It was the best food, again, that we’ve had in YEARS. Best drinks and it was not overly expensive like we thought it may have been.
I want to say the manager, again didn’t get their name, was able to get us a hat and some stickers and was also unbelievably light and kind. If you’re second guessing this place, don’t. It was amazing.
Solid restaurant/brewery with some good food and interesting beers. I opted for the bison meatloaf Wellington with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. Good flavor and nice portion size. Out of my party of 5 we were all satisfied with our meal!
Sooooo good! My dad and I were sooo hungry from a long day and our waiter was sooo kind. Thank you Tat! He was a sweetheart and the food was really good. My dad said his fish was so good and wasn’t super greasy and it’s hard to find fish and chips. My pizza was perfect! Tat was an awesome waiter! Thank youuu!
Those were the best ribs I have had, I have been to so many BBQ spots and they cant seem to get it right, but this place absolutely nailed the ribs. I couldn’t even use a knife, the bones just pulled out. In fact I just gave them a stare and the whole thing fell apart, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
Their selection of craft beers really showcases the diversities and creativity of Colorado's brewing culture. I enjoyed my 7258 Blonde Ale, which named after the altitude of US Air Force Academy. Coloradan are known to be a little more health conscious. CMB's burgers are less greasy and the flavor was just nice....and their crispy fries were Awesome. I think they should trademark it as SatisFries.
If you're visiting Colorado, Colorado Mountain Breweries should be at the top of your list.
I'm not a beer drinker, but my hubby is, but they had fun mixed drink options. I had a pomegranate margarita, and it was yummy. We had the bison queso, also yummy! My roast beef dip sandwich was outstanding. The caramelized onions have it a slight sweet taste that melts in your mouth. Our waiter was super friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant even if you aren't a beer drinker!
Busy Friday night but service was prompt. They told us 30-35 minutes but it only took 15 which was a nice surprise. Our server Kyle K was prompt and was very helpful with the menu. The only downfall was drink refills but I can’t really dock him too much because it was packed. In our party we had pizza, brisket, a chicken dish and a burger. All of it was really good and we will definitely be back to try other things on the menu.
They have the best pretzels. Burgers are pretty good. Their queso is fantastic. All there food is really good. Beer is awesome too. I’d defintely give this place a shot if your in the area.
