It’s a lovely, intimate restaurant. They have a price fixe menu right now which is the main reason why I think it’s a four and not a five. While the food was good, I didn’t think it was good enough to justify the price. The choices are a three course which includes an appetizer, pasta and dessert or a four course with an appetizer, pasta and dessert. I wish they had the info about the differences in courses on the website so we could’ve been prepared, especially since their card machine was broken and it was cash only. We wanted entrees so we got the more expensive four course option.
Courses are perfect portions to finish all for the night. I think the anti pasta was my favorite course. The grilled veggies were fresh and I loved the selection of meats and cheeses. I found their pastas to be okay, but nothing super special. For dinner, I had the seafood stew, which was delicious. We also had the rabbit which we enjoyed. Other than the appetizer, the second best thing we ate was the gelato! It was out of this world amazing and creamy. I could eat it all day. We also had the chocolate cake which was too dry and bitter for me.
Service was good. They have a guy plucking songs on a mandolin which was so cute and added to the atmosphere. Overall, if they got rid of the set course menu, I would definitely return! However, I don’t find it worth the price for the experience now.
The quality of the food is very high in this rustic Sicilian restaurant. Homely and hearty dishes, liberal in olive oil. The ricotta gnocchi are only second to those I had in Fiorella in Philadelphia, and only by a tiny bit. The rabbit stew was excellent. And the canoli the best I had in my life.
With a price tag of $75 for a 4-course meal, this restaurant is as expensive as several 1star Michelin restaurants in DC and NYC. But I don't think I have found this flavor profile anywhere else so far, so I believe this restaurant is unique for this reason.
Best Italian food I've ever had. The family style chef's tasting was mind blowing.
Service was ery attentive and friendly. Very knowledgeable on every dish.
Delicious food, great service! This was our first visit and we each got the three course. I can't imagine being able to eat four courses. The bread and tomato salad was so good, the gnocchi were likes clouds of yum. My husband had the rabbit stew and loved it. We shared a pitcher of lemonade and it was perfect!
Amazing dinner for my brother's birthday! There were 8 of us, so we got the chef's tasting dinner. We have 2 pescatarians, and they easily accommodated all of us and our dietary preferences. Everything was delicious and service was wonderful.
I've eaten in twice and I've taking food out three times. The chef is very skilled, I was told the food was great and after eating there I was not let down. The staff very friendly, this is a great place for first date, cozi and quite.
