Wow this place is a hidden gem! Delicious food and awesome service. Reasonably priced too. Will definitely be back!
Had a wonderful meal of blackened fish and shrimp. Best in the capital area. Great service and wonderful drinks. This has become our "go to place" for a great meal.
A tad expensive, but you're paying for amazing food, service, and atmosphere.
Went out to dinner on a Friday night. They're is a bar at the front of the restaurant with the sit down tables at the back. Despite the bar bring semi full, it wasn't that loud. Seems like a classy place to watch some sports. Around 8pm some live music started playing which was nice.
The service was very nice. Dinner was serviced with fresh bread and butter. I ordered a pappardelle pasta dish with pork belly and shrimp in a leek cream sauce. My fiance order the stuffed salmon. Both came with soup which we both had tomato crab bisque. The food was delicious! The salads and steak also looks delicious. Each entree was around $22-25 but there were some cheaper options (but not by much).
If your in Cohoes you'd be doing you're a disservice by not coming here! But heads up, dinner can be a little expensive.
What a place!! You really get the feel of an downtown bar when you walk in and see the 100 foot long African mahogany bar that's almost 100 years old. Excellent porterhouse but the ham and white bean soup needs to be bottled and sold in stores, it was some of the best I'd ever had. This place is perfect for a date night in the back dining area, or for a late bar snack and a beer at the 100 foot bar top. Highly recommend.
We loved it! We went to celebrate my dad and the staff was incredible.

If you like beautifully maintained old bars with decent food, great service and a lot of history, this is the place for you.
We ate there tonight. Nice place. Good Food. Good prices. The staff wasn't ready for the rush they got when the music hall let out. so, we had a wait even though there was plenty of staff and several empty tables. The staff was extremely pleasant and I will return just because of them as and the good food.
2 large groups at tables were talking so loud my ears are ringing. they were yelling and a couple woman were screeching. I wish the staff could have shushed them a little.
Was in the neighborhood and spotted this cute little establishment on a Saturday. Decided to give it a try and was quite pleased with my service and the environment. I ordered a fish meal with a baked potato and IPA. The bartender working Lenore was amazing. She was very personable, courteous and a blast to talk with. A bartender will make or break an establishment. Lenore surely is an asset and makes you feel at home. My only complaint was the size of the potatoes. Other wise I will surely be back to enjoy great food, tasty drinks and lenore's great personality
I had the crab and tomato bisque. It was kinda fishy tasting. However our server was prompt with service and fixing our order. The cheese sticks are awesome and the atmosphere is cozy. I was satisfied with the service and overall attention to our table, without being to pushy. The music was a nice touch and the flowers look real, though I didn't check to see if they were. Some tables had an actual lit candle. At the time of this writing they were doing road construction. But overall very pleased!
