Absolutely the best Paella ever, followed them here from Winter Park to Cocoa Village. You will not be disappointed with their food and the place itself.
What a great restaurant!! The best food I’ve had in Cocoa Village. Loved the sangria and tapas, especially the baby clams.
Creative, authentic menu with a home cooking feel. The owner is a hardworking man who cares and personally takes care of his patrons.
We went during a flamenco show - what a great time! But get there early, they will fill to capacity - there were multiple parties that weren't able to get seats.
Highly recommended!
The service, food quality, and atmosphere were excellent! The mussels were amazing and my husband said his lamb shank was the best he’s ever had. My chicken was also excellent. All around, 5 star experience!! Definitely recommend.
Amazing place. Hands down one of the most romantic restaurants in Brevard Country, with the coolest atmosphere(its in an old bank building). The tapas are all great, grilled octopus is amazing and the paella is out of this world. Definitely give them a go if you are in the area.
I could be wrong but Flamenco dancers are every Friday, Spanish guitarist on Sunday's and Violin on Saturday's. Highly recommended.
A "MUST GO TO" WHILE IN PORT OR VISITING COCOA VILLAGE
We had been contemplating where to celebrate out 16th wedding anniversarry & wanted a dinner w/a show and did not want to travel an hour to Orlando. We stumbled upon this GEM OF A RESTAURANT two weeks prior while on a motorcycle ride up the "river" to Cocoa Village.
Walking past EL Bodegon perked our interest since they keep doors open. It's seemingly authentic decor was inviting, as was the host/waiter & the owner. They asked us to come in & take a browse. (They weren't opened for business so no patrons were interrupted.) We booked our dinner reservation upon learning they had live Flamenco Dancers. :-) Yay!
Being a Latin couple from MIA/NYC we are picky about our Spanish/Latin cuisine. We expected the food would not be upto par, but still happy we'd get live entertainment & hopefully good wine! Whoa.. We were pleasantly surprised to be served not only authentic flavors, but freshly made, delicious dishes.
The pork appetizer had tender, well-seasoned non-breaded (can't eat gluten) chunks of pork! Croquettas de yucca were excellent! As was our main courses of fresh seafood including Shrimps in Salsa Criolla over perfectly fried tostones (green plantains)! They also serve a variety of PAELLA. The server was attentive & the owner, very friendly & out on the floor seeing every customer's needs was meet.
The dancers were also very entertaining & encouraged audience participation for a dance or two.
The doors are kept open as outside dinning is available, so if you don't want to see passerbys, just ask to be seated towards the back. There's also balcony seating & while kids/families are welcomed, please refrain from allowing them to run around up there; afterall, it is a pricier restautants & not an extension of a cruiseship. Although it is a great place to have dinner while on land.
So with the exception of the kids briefly running around on the balcony (thank goodness they were stopped) this was an
overall excellent, celebratory night out for us with really good food, good service & lively entertainment.
Our cost was actually less than we expected considering entertainment was included. A little recognirion (or free glass or wo of wine ;-) for an anniversary couple would've been nice too.
Will definitely visit here again.
Wonderful Spanish place with authentic tapas and Spanish wines. The Garbonzos Fritos (cooked chickpeas with chorizo) was our favorite - very tasty.
Staff are friendly and they had a violinist providing music. Located in a quaint area that's worth the a visit.
Hidden treasure, but immensely impressive! A co-worker recommended this place while I was traveling for business. For some reason, Google Maps did not want us to navigate here (Maps issue) but once we found the old church facade and the maitre d' on the sidewalk, we knew we were there. The ambiance is very enjoyable, and the food lived up to the reputation. To start, I chose a pork tapas appetizer. It was delicious, but pricey for the amount of food. For the main course I had churrasco steak with broccoli and garbanzo beans. The steak was seasoned and cooked well. Unlike the appetizer, the entree was priced right for a restaurant of this stature. Oh, and the beer - I went with the 1605 Red... all the while thinking this "Spanish" beer had the quality of a Belgian Trappist ale... Turns out it's actually just an Irish Red... but it was really really good. Apparently they also have live music and Flamenco dancing (stage performance) Friday and Saturday. Definitely want to come back.
We went for the live flamenco dancing on a Friday night. We made reservations since there was entertainment, but I don't think it was actually necessary. Had the meat paella which was good but didn't seem authentic. I don't mean to say it wasn't tasty, just that if you're looking for authentic paella this isn't the place. Dancers were fantastic - loved all the styles of flamenco they did and the costume changes. Table service was disappointing and the reason I dropped a star. It wasn't terribly busy so that can't be why. Server just seemed distracted.
I wanted to thank El Bodegon for hosting our daughter's graduation party this month and our 30 plus guests. Everyone who sat at your table enjoyed the service, the tapas, the sangrias and the amazing paella! Marino you out did yourself. Thank you!
Excellent Restaurant with Beautiful Atmosphere!
The Paella de Mariscos was out of this world !
Their creme brulee was perfect... we've found a new favorite place to eat
Beautiful restaurant with equally beautiful food. The flamenco dancing added even more to the experience. 100% recommend.
