One of my roommates was involved. On that particular day, there was a Sikh man in the store. My roommate informed him that several of the food items on display were expired. He should probably take them off the counter. The sikh began employing derogatory terms toward South Indians. My roommate is a South Indian, but I am not. The store employee then began disparaging the Indian community. We left the location without a fight and never returned. If he despises India so much, why is his store called Namaste India? What a paradox.

I am doing well for anything that I am able to do based of my knowledge and ability. I will never hesitate to learn if anything is never or unknown if the things is useful and legal for our daily needs.

Clean and inviting. Very friendly owner. Huge assortment of food, but also other trinkets and pretty things. Everything is organized and very reasonably priced. I went in to buy henna and left with that and more!

Namaste Supermarket is always a lovely place to buy great foods and other household products that are hard to find elsewhere. The frozen paneer cubes are a real gem to find!! Nice big store. Looking forward to an Indian Restaurant there again too.

The store is clean, and the staff is always pleasant. There is always some unique stuff in here, and I always come out with more than I came in for.
I love that I can get spices here for pretty cheap - for instance I got a bag of turmeric for less than $2 - I can't recall the ounces but it is a good sized bag.
They also have cookies that are like oreos that are called "Happy Happy" and they've changed my life... so effing good!

As other customers have mentioned, a lot of the products are expired. There are now better Indian grocery stores in Des Moines which have more, better and fresher products. This is especially relevant during the pandemic.

Look at the dates before buying. A very good majority of the products are expired and a lot of them don’t even have dates. I would look elsewhere if you don’t want to buy products expired 6-7 months ago.
