Hanami Japanese Restaurant

I have been to Hanami several times and generally find it to be the best for sushi in the shoreline area. However, I went last night for dinner and it resulted in a bout of food poisoning that had me feeling awful. It included sweats, chills, nausea, and no issues all night long. This could be an isolated incident at an otherwise good place but I felt it was worth posting because there seemed to be a lot of chaos behind the sushi counter, fish was being handled outside the case and new people being trained. This may not be the best time to check them out.

On a rare "out for dinner" treat with my husband, we went to Hanami since we were in Clinton. We were so happy to hear they were open and had survived the past couple of years. We were skeptical after reading a review from a month ago, but we decided to go anyway. We were very happy with the service, meal and cleanliness. We had sake, sushi, sashimi, osaka roll, miso soup and seaweed salad. Everything was fresh and delicious. There is plenty of space between tables and I saw a steady stream of pick up deliveries happening. The locals must enjoy this place. 4 stars because I don't believe it has a full bar or the greatest ambience, and it can be a little pricey, but the sake is good, the decor is good enough, and the quality of what we had was worth it.
