Beach Donut Shop

Delicious breakfast. Gluten free and vegan donut options and even gluten free bagels! Coffee is piping hot and, if you’re lucky, you’ll get to experience the sunshine greeting that is John. We arrived and the line was out the door with people eagerly anticipating some yummy goodness. Beach Donuts is a definite mood. I LOVED it.

Their donuts are fine (almost too big and heavy) but I stopped in for a late lunch at 2:45 p.m.. Sign out front says “Now serving lunch.” Never had lunch here. Still haven’t. Employee at the grill said she’d already cleaned the grill. I pointed out that it wasn’t yet 3:00 (closing time). She said she had to let the grill cool. I guess she walks out the door on the stroke of 3. I have never worked at a business where the owner/operator tries to get out of the parking lot at the same time as the paying customers. She tried to get me to buy a dozen donuts before I left. Made 9-10 hours ago? No thanks.

I was really excited to visit because I haven’t gone here in a long long time. I was extremely disappointed, donuts are not what they used to be. We bought half a dozen donuts and it was 10$ which I thought was expensive. The donuts had a stale texture. Maybe the other locations are better I don’t know 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m giving it a two star rating because the employee gave us an extra donut for free.
