I have visited Captain Peter's since I moved further away. I was always impressed with the freshness of their seafood, taste and flavor. Unfortunately, I did not find the same on this visit. My fish, Whiting and spot, were too salty and the oysters didn't taste fresh; there shouldn't be a fishy aftertaste.
It is my hope that was an off-day and this establishment hasn't lost what locals always depended on them for - fresh, good tasting, quality seafood!

I purchased steamed shrimp just to try this restaurant for the first time. I've always figured if the restaurant messes up steam shrimp then you know it's 'downhill from there', but this restaurant passed the test👌. The steamed shrimp was fresh, large, delicious and lightly spiced upon request. I will be back to try other items on the menu.

Purchased large crabs and a pound of shrimp. Shrimp were over cooked and when I went back to show the owner, he asked me “ what do you want me to do about it”, he said “it just looks dry”. I told him thanks and that I would no longer support him. I feel as though sometimes you have to care about the community you serve.

I ordered the captain platter which was $20.99 and had to pay a extra $5 just to get tilapia. It was only 1 piece and it wasn't fresh it was the bagged tilapia. 3 shrimp and a couple clam strips. Give people what they pay for. Fish and shrimp have a weird taste.

We ordered the captain's platter and the marina platter and a crab cake sandwich. We paid 71.00. The fish is so thin. Nothing like what is presented in the cooler. Crab cake was Full of grease. So much that after squeezing in 6 napkins, you still tasted the thickness of the grease on your tounge. I touched the inside of the cake with a napkin, instant grease. Fries were cold. Flounder over fried. Not the quality we expected from them.

They literally charged me $4.50 for one extra piece of whiting fish. Black people need to stop supporting these companies that take advantage of black consumers. This carryout wouldn't survive in a predominantly white are. Serving the small prtions of food for these prices.
