Fuzzy's Taco Shop

This was my first visit to Fuzzy's and I have to say that the food was good, good service, nice interior and exterior to the restaurant, decent prices and friendly staff. The only knock that I have is that the tacos that came with my taco platter weren't visibly filled with meat. They were still good and flavorful just not a lot of meat. I will be going back in the future though.

The restaurant was clean and the guy who took our order was really nice. He helped us decide between on a couple of items. They have a section I thought was really cute. It had a big picnic table and a small picnic table, for kids, and a chalk wall for peeps to write or draw on. This was inside, by the way. They also have covered outdoor seating, which was nice. The store sells alcohol separate from the food. The food. It was hot and miss for me. I really liked the queso dip. The guacamole was fine. Tasted fresh, which I think is important. My friend got the fish tempura taco, and a chicken pulled pork taco, both hard shells. She didn't eat the fish taco, though, because it was a whole filet of fish, not cut up pieces of fish, and she had seen some gross things. So not sure if that's helpful but she would have wanted to know. My husband got the quesadilla and tempura shrimp. The quesadilla had like a salsa mixed in it, and he doesn't like salsa, so he didn't enjoy that. I ate some. I really liked it, but again appreciate that he wish he would've known so he could order differently. He didn't like the tempura shrimp. I got soft shell shredded chicken, beef fajita, and California heat grilled. The shredded chicken didn't have tons of flavor, but I really loved the other two! Basically there are several options. For us the good was hit and miss, but the things I liked, I really liked. They just need a little more description on some of the items, or pictures maybe, which I forgot to take, sorry.

Great food in a fun, casual atmosphere! We've eaten at Fuzzy's many times in Texas and the food here is just as good. You have got to try the fish tacos! Ours had very large pieces of fish and were quite good. Add some Butt Burning hot sauce for an extra kick. The nachos are another of our favorites (pork or beef are the best). They even have a chalkboard wall that'll keep little ones entertained and plenty of TV's to catch a game.

Let me say that this was our first time going here and our family who live in Mississippi recommended it. First impression was a long haired teen who seemed to pay more attention to the tv behind us as we ordered than to our ordering. Of course he had no Fuzzy tv shirt on and looked like he just walked in off the street. My wife ordered a salad with shrimp. It arrived in a few minutes and was raw. See picture. Asked to speak to manager, she was not on premises. Next in charge was teenager lead in kitchen. As we are waiting the manager Lindsay shows up and instead of apologizing for the mishap proceeds to cut the shrimp and tell us the process of how it gets cooked etc in the kitchen. Finally when she says im sorry I stop her and say this is unacceptable and represents Fuzzy's. As Lindsay cries through the resolution of this fiasco we learn her father runs another Fuzzy in Baton Rogue. Apparently, training was not done to allow the workers to operate at a standard higher than the manager and owners expectation. Readers digest version: lindsay did comp our meal but no one can comp my wife up all night with diarrhea, vomiting and discomfort. The end result is one word, RESTITUTION!
