Lakeview Bakery

We were extremely disappointed in this bakery. We spent $60($33 for a birthday cake, $10 for a pecan ring, and $1.50 for each bagel and donut). When my mother got home with the purchase, she realized there were walnuts on the pecan ring. We called the store to ask for them to either deliver a pecan ring, which she ordered and was charged for/reads pecan ring on the receipt, or give us a store credit. The owner demanded/yelled that we either drive all the way back with the ring or keep the ring until we return someday in the future. He refused to give a credit. Like I am really going to hold onto a rotting cake and bring it back there. In addition, the Boston Creme and jelly donuts had MAYBE one teaspoon of filling. My husband was a regular at this bakery for coffee most morning but not anymore.

My husband just came home and surprised me with some bakery treats. Unfortunately, once I bit into the very dry chocolate fudge cake, it tasted stale. I think this cake was out for weeks it was awful. I tried to eat it and couldn't, the only thing that was good was the chocolate butter cream inside the layered cake but my hubby didn't pay for just the cream you know. He also bought a guava and cheese pastry so I still had high hopes, but that was not good either. Immediately I tasted old oil or like it was cooked with another savory food. I had to spit it out! My husband was so sad about it since we've both craved rich decadent chocolate cake, and love guava and cheese. So sad that Lakeview Bakery in Clifton did not satisfy our cravings. This was horrible!

I ordered a cake for my husband’s 60th birthday and was very disappointed. Although they make great cakes, I specified I wanted black and gold icing, I got white icing with black and gold gum balls, and other stuff scattered on top of the cake. I also specified I wanted bananas inside- no other fruits just bananas. I was horrified to cut into the cake to find strawberries in the cake. I couldn’t even give this cake away. Half of our guests were allergic to strawberries

This is a picture of my beautiful birthday cake. Not only was it BEAUTIFUL but delicious. I went there on Friday afternoon last minute with no idea of what I really wanted and I needed it by the next day. The baker came out and said don’t worry, I will make it nice for you. He did an outstanding job! This is the third time I used this bakery and each time my cake was a hit. The cake was yellow cake with lemon filling…. My favorite
