Loft Public House

We tried coming here about a month ago but showed up and was told the kitchen was closed because the sole chef called out sick. Shoulda taken it as a warning sign. Even with a total of four customers, dinner took 35 minutes to show up. The menu has no descriptions. It’s literally a list of items. And be advised: the “Loft Burger” is just an over-cooked tasteless cheeseburger.

I came to NJ, to celebrate my sister's, and my birthday, the food was awesome! The cook we met Rob has been cooking for over 40 yrs, what a nice man. He cooked us a awesome shrimp dish, and beet salad, and ceser salad, to die for! Manuel, was our waiter he was very personable, attentive, polite. The owner was personable, attentive, very sweet, just awesome! This was the place to come to I completely recommend to all customers, local and new to the area, like myself. I completely rate this place a number 10 ten...I enjoyed and loved the food, hospitality. If you're looking for a awesome place, this is the place to come to. I work in the city and frequent bars there, so visiting local ones is typically not something I do. I’ve come here before however they only had drinks. I was definitely missing the food and there wasn’t any here but to my surprise I came back this week and they finally opened up the kitchen! I ordered the chicken tingas with the lemon pepper fries. By far the best chicken I’ve had in a very long time - tasted like honey. The drinks and food plus a very attentive bartender makes this place great! Also, who can’t beat NYC taste for half the price?
