Review Cibreo Italian Kitchen - Cleveland

Was attending a show across the street...was about 90 min early...hadn't eaten...and stopped in for some tasty Italian cuisine

Great atmosphere and great food. We went before attending a show at the Hanna theater on a Saturday evening. We weren't sure about the place because of negative reviews we saw from post-covid. But I think the bad reviews were simply people who didn't plan their schedule to give them enough time before their shows. This is a real Italian restaurant (not a fast meal restaurant). Plan on at least 1.5 hours for dinner. We took our time with drinks/appetizers/dinner/dessert. We planned on a 2 hour dinner and spent a littler longer than that before going to our show. If you have a show at 7:30 get there no later than 5pm and give yourself a nice time. The restaurant got busier before we left at 7pm and those who showed up at 6:30 for a meal before their show at 7:30 definitely would have felt rushed and not had a good experience- but that is not the fault of this great restaurant. Will definitely go back.

We went to Cibréo after a matinee show, for early dinner. The host, whose name I unfortunately can’t remember, was incredibly accommodating and kind. Our server Lauren was super professional & attentive. She was calm, organized, friendly, and anticipated things that we needed without even having to ask. In fact, hilariously, my mom loved her so much that she even suggested we become roommates in the middle of our meal (lol). I’ve been in the industry most of my life and I, along with my whole family, was very impressed with our service from start to finish. And the food was excellent! We had a white bean soup, caprese salad, a few different pasta dishes, the salmon, and a braised short rib special. Everything was fresh, flavorful, & delicious. The complimentary focaccia was great as were our cocktails and dessert. We will definitely come back to Cibréo next time we go to Playhouse Square, and we’ll recommend it to friends as well. Thanks to all of you for helping to make our day really lovely & special! Merry Christmas!

We were downtown to see a concert at Playhouse Square and Cibreo is directly across the street. The food was delicious, our waitress was friendly and efficient and the atmosphere was amazing. When you add in the convenience of parking in a Playhouse Square parking garage and walking across the street to eat, and back across for your event it's a no brainer.

The bread, salad, and drinks were the best part. Both of our entrées had unexpectedly odd flavors, but we overall enjoyed our meal. Servers and staff were very hospitable.

Delicious Italian food in a cool, rustic setting. Nice location across the street from the theaters. I was able to walk in and sit at the bar...normally need reservation for a table. Had the porcini, sausage and bean soup and the porcini and truffle ravioli. Both were very good. Service was nice and food was pretty quick. Bread was very good too. Will definitely be back.

A beautiful restaurant!  Loved the decor.  Our server was very friendly and very good.  Attentive but didn't hover.  He recommended the Salmon when I was undecided between it and another dish.  He also assisted us with our wine choice (and no, it wasn't the most expensive one!) which we appreciated.  He was aware we had theatre reservations and was prompt but didn't rush us.  The food was excellent.  My salmon was cooked to perfection.  Others in our group had the cheese ravioli in Bolognese and said it was very good.  I thought the prices were ok for the type of restaurant and today's world.

Food was excellent but they did not give us bread and oil. I'll be back! Expresso Martinis were great! I had the chicken parm and stuffed peppers with broccolini.

Mike was terrific and helped us tremendously with the menu and suggestions and took time to visit with us making our birthday celebration that much better! Thanks, Mike! And thank you to the lovely lady who took our pictures! 😊 We'll be back! BTW, the food was delicious!

Went to see a show at Playhouse Square and stopped into one of our favorite restaurants downtown. The food is always amazing, the service is exceptional, and the environment and guest experience is incredible!

The ambiance is lovely. We enjoyed the fried calamari, shrimp and scallop appetizer. We ordered the chicken marsala and the pasta pappardelle bolognese dish....all fantastic. The bread is great quality and delicious. Our waiter Mike G was perfect in every way. Great location for the theater district.

The food was delicious. However for the price I thought the portions were a bit on the small side. We went after the 1 p.m. performance of Rent and though there were lots of empty tables, we were seated in a tiny room upstairs. Luckily our server was awesome and the food was tasty.

My son and I popped In befor a game with no reservations. They were accommodating and sat us promptly. We had chicken tortellini and a shrimp meal. Dessert was doughnuts and another that I cannot hope to spell. All of the food was excellent. I tried an Italian Donkey and has to have a second to make sure I liked the first. The food was very good. Courtney was our server and made the evening enjoyable with her positive attitude, hard work and fun interaction. Simply wonderful. All in all it was a spectacular visit and we hope to return

I enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant, however, I felt our table was too close to the table next to us. The waiter was wonderful, but overworked. The food was good, nothing spectacular. The pasta was not al dente. Wine was very good. All in all a good experience, nothing to prevent me from visiting again. Yet nothing spectacular either.

Very good service! The gentleman went over the entire menu with us since we haven't dined there before. The entree's should have come with a salad and rolls, but the food was good. Overall, I was pleased.

Everyone was very coordial. Specially our waiter. He was very attentive and his service was excellent. We really enjoyed our dinner last night at Cibreo Italian Restaurant. The food was really excellent and very tasty I will go back to that restaurant without a doubt I personally experienced the good food and the good service myself.

The food was good. The gelato was excellent. We were seated in a booth in the the bar by the service station, usually I refuse to sit near a service station (too noisy) , however we didn't have reservations so I'm thought that's all they may have had for two. It was disturbing to hear the servers bickering with each other by the service station and they were nasty. Didn't enjoy that part of our meal at all, it spoiled it for me.. if we come back for a pre-show meal, I'll be sure request a table as way from the bickering and service station. I would have given it 4 stars but like I said ......

Food presentation was beautiful and food delicious. However I thought the portion of pasta was small.

We were part of a bus tour. They have a nice side room for groups. This is a HUGE plus being right across from the theater district. When we arrived, our salads were on the table and ready to eat. We had been given a choice of 3 options. Our waitress never checked with our whole table about drink orders. I ordered iced tea, which ended up tasting very much like coffee on ice! Thought it was just me but others at my table noticed it. When our entrees arrived, they looked delicious but the seasoning was VERY bland. There was NO salt or pepper on our table or anywhere to be found. I asked and was told, they were busy getting everyone's meals and would get seasonings after everyone was served! I have never been in ANY restaurant where salt and pepper weren't already on the table. I explained that by the time they served everyone, our entrees would be cold. Just before I finished eating, our waitress came by and practically slammed a salt shaker on the table beside where I was sitting. I am a person who NEVER complains about the food, but this is a restaurant I wouldn't waste my time on. It is a shame because they have lots of positive elements (atmosphere, location, extra space for groups and a secondary bar area) but I wouldn't return.

We had a very nice Romantic Dinner. Cibreo has a Warm and Romantic Vibe. The Food was really good and the waiter was very helpful. Over all I would definitely go back.

We walked in at 5:45 and needed to be at a show at 7:30. We told our waitress Courtney and she said absolutely no problem! We also had 2 bottles of wine, appetizers , main course and told her we wanted deserts. She said we were the “best table all night”. That was until a table of about 10 women sat down. They got full service and meal BEFORE US!! Guess Courtney found a new best table of the night. Our COLD meal finally arrived at 6:54! Sad because I’ve heard such great things and was so excited to try it. If you have plans to see a show at Playhouse Square and be late , want cold food, and your server to throw you to the side to make a bigger tip from the Golden Girls, eat here!

This is such a treat for us when we see a show at the playhouse. The service is impeccable, they usually ask if you have tickets to a show and if you are in a hurry. The food is very good, I have tried something different each time and the chef never disappoints!

It was fantastic! The atmosphere, service, and food were great. We were seeing a show at the State Theatre so it was perfect. Highly recommend!

We ate here before seeing My Favorite Murder at the Connor Palace. The food was excellent and the service was as well. Everyone was very friendly. If we are in Cleveland again we will definitely be back.
