My son and I popped In befor a game with no reservations. They were accommodating and sat us promptly. We had chicken tortellini and a shrimp meal. Dessert was doughnuts and another that I cannot hope to spell. All of the food was excellent. I tried an Italian Donkey and has to have a second to make sure I liked the first. The food was very good. Courtney was our server and made the evening enjoyable with her positive attitude, hard work and fun interaction. Simply wonderful. All in all it was a spectacular visit and we hope to return
Very good service! The gentleman went over the entire menu with us since we haven't dined there before. The entree's should have come with a salad and rolls, but the food was good. Overall, I was pleased.
Was attending a show across the street...was about 90 min early...hadn't eaten...and stopped in for some tasty Italian cuisine
Great atmosphere and great food. We went before attending a show at the Hanna theater on a Saturday evening. We weren't sure about the place because of negative reviews we saw from post-covid. But I think the bad reviews were simply people who didn't plan their schedule to give them enough time before their shows. This is a real Italian restaurant (not a fast meal restaurant). Plan on at least 1.5 hours for dinner. We took our time with drinks/appetizers/dinner/dessert. We planned on a 2 hour dinner and spent a littler longer than that before going to our show. If you have a show at 7:30 get there no later than 5pm and give yourself a nice time. The restaurant got busier before we left at 7pm and those who showed up at 6:30 for a meal before their show at 7:30 definitely would have felt rushed and not had a good experience- but that is not the fault of this great restaurant. Will definitely go back.
We went to Cibréo after a matinee show, for early dinner. The host, whose name I unfortunately can’t remember, was incredibly accommodating and kind. Our server Lauren was super professional & attentive. She was calm, organized, friendly, and anticipated things that we needed without even having to ask. In fact, hilariously, my mom loved her so much that she even suggested we become roommates in the middle of our meal (lol). I’ve been in the industry most of my life and I, along with my whole family, was very impressed with our service from start to finish. And the food was excellent! We had a white bean soup, caprese salad, a few different pasta dishes, the salmon, and a braised short rib special. Everything was fresh, flavorful, & delicious. The complimentary focaccia was great as were our cocktails and dessert. We will definitely come back to Cibréo next time we go to Playhouse Square, and we’ll recommend it to friends as well. Thanks to all of you for helping to make our day really lovely & special! Merry Christmas!
We were downtown to see a concert at Playhouse Square and Cibreo is directly across the street. The food was delicious, our waitress was friendly and efficient and the atmosphere was amazing. When you add in the convenience of parking in a Playhouse Square parking garage and walking across the street to eat, and back across for your event it's a no brainer.
The bread, salad, and drinks were the best part. Both of our entrées had unexpectedly odd flavors, but we overall enjoyed our meal. Servers and staff were very hospitable.
Delicious Italian food in a cool, rustic setting. Nice location across the street from the theaters. I was able to walk in and sit at the bar...normally need reservation for a table. Had the porcini, sausage and bean soup and the porcini and truffle ravioli. Both were very good. Service was nice and food was pretty quick. Bread was very good too. Will definitely be back.
A beautiful restaurant! Loved the decor. Our server was very friendly and very good. Attentive but didn't hover. He recommended the Salmon when I was undecided between it and another dish. He also assisted us with our wine choice (and no, it wasn't the most expensive one!) which we appreciated. He was aware we had theatre reservations and was prompt but didn't rush us. The food was excellent. My salmon was cooked to perfection. Others in our group had the cheese ravioli in Bolognese and said it was very good. I thought the prices were ok for the type of restaurant and today's world.
Food was excellent but they did not give us bread and oil. I'll be back! Expresso Martinis were great! I had the chicken parm and stuffed peppers with broccolini.
Mike was terrific and helped us tremendously with the menu and suggestions and took time to visit with us making our birthday celebration that much better! Thanks, Mike! And thank you to the lovely lady who took our pictures! 😊 We'll be back! BTW, the food was delicious!
Went to see a show at Playhouse Square and stopped into one of our favorite restaurants downtown. The food is always amazing, the service is exceptional, and the environment and guest experience is incredible!
