Papa's Diner

The staff is great! My only issue is being served burnt eggs. It happens rather frequently when I order an omelet. Everything else comes out great. The eggs are the only reason for the 4 stars. Being a breakfast heavy establishment I would expect the eggs to be correct. Scorched eggs are not that great tasting.

I went to papas diner for breakfast a few days ago and WOW was I blown away at the wonderful staff, tasty food and great atmosphere! Literally feels like home! The manager was so friendly and helpful! By the way the review that was left from the lady about her shrimp and grits is far and I mean FAR from accurate! People are just so cruel these days! If you’re going to leave bad reviews, please consider our small local businesses! 😊

This is the type of place that makes cities, towns, and "hole-in-the-walls" famous! As a kid, my Dad, Wilmer Pace would always bring me to the Papa's Diner for boys to men conversations, to celebrate triumphs, or just to have a father- son wellness check up! When you walk through the door you'll not only be greeted by the typical hostess who'll be ready to seat you. Some of the other Patriots will sometimes say hello or welcome as well! That feeling of being at home is the first Aroma you will encounter. After all of these years this is still one of the most beautiful things about this great establishment! When it comes down to the food.. I get it two thumbs up every time! They seem to prepare their food in a home town fashion which every muscle is dipped in love. They always have what one would say regulars who have their favorite dish. I have to say that mine is their steak and cheese sandwich. However, when you go there you'll have to make your own choice of course. Everything on their menu has a great down home taste. So, take your own neighborly attitude, fun festive appetite, and you will see that this is certainly a gem in the hills of Clermont!

Excellent small restaurant perfect for breakfast, never have to ask for coffee refresh or refill. Service was friendly and accommodating. Atmosphere is nice, easy to have conversation even during busy times. Never felt rushed and I loved the corned beef hash, scramble with cheese, oj & coffee . Pricing is fair. I'd definitely go back and highly recommend. The pancakes are the best I've ever had!!!

What a great place. Feels like you’re at home. Visiting the area and dropped by while my car was being worked on. The staff is very friendly and the place has a nice warm vibe. It’s obvious this is a definite local hangout. The menu is super. They have a wall board with specials not on the menu, like fish and grits, which was very tempting. Since it was my first time, I thought I would order standard dishes to compare them to other places we visited. The server was wonderful. Very friendly and conversant. My wife ordered the country fried steak and eggs, and I got a three meat omelette. We chose different breads, a biscuit for my wife and rye toast for me. The food was promptly delivered, piping hot. The toast was nice and hot too. The country fried steak was big and the gravy tasty. The grits were good and served with margarine. I prefer butter and asked the server, which she brought out promptly. The eggs over easy were on point! The omelette was generously big, with plenty of meat inside. It looked like the omelette was cooked at a high temperature which led to the outside being browner than I like, and the inside a little wetter than I like. That said, it was delicious and I enjoyed it. Definitely worth a visit!

Just moved to the area and my visit to papa’s diner was by far the best culinary experience yet! The food was delicious and swift. We were greeted with a warm welcome and smiles from all of the staff. Notably our server Jazzy, provided great service and professionalism. Jessica was also amazing as well. We will definitely be dining there a couple of days a week!!!

Nice diner that was very busy. Took a little bit to get our food, but the waitress made sure we had coffee refills whole waiting. They did have a couple vegetarian dishes and great. I had the veggie omelet with home fries and rye toast. My hubby had the western omelet. The home fries were good and never became soggy.
