Excellent, fast service. Great food and I highly recommend the Rueben and The Godfather. BBQ is good too. Big selection of beer and wine for every taste. Come early on weeknights as the place fills fast!
Really like this place! Brought visiting family for dinner and what a great surprise.... my favorite waitress was there! Along with the great tasting food, reasonable prices, and a great waitress named Mary... we will definitely be regulars!
Mushroom Swiss burger was excellent, but that damn Stromboli was the bomb - one of the best I’ve ever had. We will definitely be returning.
The bar staff is amazing. They are quick and make sure to treat everyone equally. This is my go to Friday night spot. Great people, and Kathy kills it for karaoke. If absolutely recommend coming to visit.

Great food, beer & music but some old blonde lady came in with her peeps thinking she could get a table right away by throwing her name around...Friday night 2.2.18- that is the only thing I disliked about this place!
The pizza here which was the T 42 combo was the best pizza I have ever had. The medium is perfect for two people and if you get a salad it's perfect for four people.
Hidden gem! Great food, great atmosphere! For a awesome meal, check out this place! Found one of our new favorite places.

Our daughter was the entertainer for the night and the pizza was great. They have a long list of beer and all ABC permits. Everyone was very welcoming and kept checking to make sure we had what we needed. At the end of the night when we attempted to pay our bill a nice couple at the bar picked up the tab. We really enjoyed it and hope to make it back.

Hubs and I ate here for the first time tonight. Calzone, Bacon Boy (BLT) and side salad. Good food in a laid back atmosphere. Great neighborhood place "just down the road". We will definitely be back.
They are very friendly to everyone. The small size reminds me of a neighborhood bar. Deserves 6 stars because they serve db brews...Thrilla Vanilla!
First time here. My husband had 2 slices at work and insisted we go. This is one of those hidden gem type places. The place isn't large, however, people were standing at the door for.over 10 minutes waiting for a table. That's a sign that a place must be worth the wait. Upon entry the staff doesn't greet you, and you basically seat yourself (no sign to do this). We saw a woman come in before us sitting down. She told us to seat ourselves because that's what she did. After we sat down, we were greeted by our server. He was friendly and we told him it was our first time visiting and he took our drink orders and then our entrée orders. Now to the food: the sauce for the wings, homemade chips, and shrimp were delicious. Our pizza and our daughter's pizza were delicious also. Very light and thin. We also ordered a pizza to go. If you want good pizza in a cozy atmosphere, then this is the place for you.

This is an unassuming place in a small outbuilding on Hwy 42, which is under construction, but don't let that stop you! The food here is legit. I only deducted a star for atmosphere because it ain't fancy and it's always busy with limited seating. The food, however, is worth the hassle.
Hubby ordered the pizza, which was spicy and crispy from their new pizza oven. He said the spice level was just right, and it looked delish! I couldn't sample it to confirm because of an allergy to some of the ingredients, but he ate almost all of it so I will say that's a huge endorsement.
I ordered the Garlic Parmesan wings, and now I will never order them anywhere else. They douse their wings in tons of chopped FRESH GARLIC and FRESHLY GRATED PARMESAN and either olive oil or butter. Most other places use some type of pre-made sauce, but this wing sauce was absolutely made fresh, and the wings were juicy with just the right level of crispiness on the outside. I can't wait to try their Korean BBQ wings next.
Great food and great service. Has a nice, relaxed feel. Great place to just go for a quick bite or sit and chat with fam/friends. They're attentive, but not overbearing. The food service is fast and they don't rush you out when you're finished. Highly recommend the mussels with white sauce, hoagie, bacon boy, T42 burger, lumberjack, nachos, loaded fries and just about any pizza on the menu.
Tavern 42 is an extremely popular local watering hole. They seem to always be busy and do a fine job of being just creative enough with their menu options to not be just your run of the mill bar food restaurant. Their menu is a good value with few minuses (like how rediculously small their cole slaw servings are. It's cabbage and mayo folks, not gold and frankincense).
Parking can be a struggle, at times. They take care with carryout. Their outdoor seating is pleasant, weather permitting. Service and atmosphere is very laid-back so don't expect great attentiveness, but the waitstaff are friendly and pleasant. Good for a casual night out of you hanker for an American food style menu options.
Not all wings are created equal but these wings are on point!! No wings are complete without great dressing and the bleu cheese dressing was also creamy and tasty. Had a cup of joe that was great along with real creamer. The kids menu was decent too. Highly recommend this joint!

Good food, nice atmosphere, and prompt enough servers. Ice tastes a bit off, so get your drinks deiced.
My family and I love getting takeaway from this place! The pizza (tavern 42 special), the burgers, and the Louisiana chicken sandwich are all favorites of ours. The homemade ranch is also some of the best I’ve ever had. The service is always friendly & despite how busy they always are, the time they quote you on the takeaway order is always spot on & it’s always correct! If you haven’t given this place a try I would certainly recommend.
Typical bar grill atmosphere. Parking is at a premium for handicapped. I've been to eat in three times and the food is great. I had clams and spaghetti with red sauce. I got a dozen clams...yummy Price is comparable to other like food restaurants. I'll go back!!!
I’ve been to Tavern 42 a few times now and it has been great every time. I’m from NY so I’m very picky about pizza wings, but Tavern 42 both pizza and wings are great! Definitely the best I’ve had since moving to NC.
The food is amazing. Haven’t had anything that we didn’t love. The pizza is exceptional (our favorites are Wild Bill, Anthony’s Special and the Stanwood).
Pizza was good. My family loved the parmesan wings!! We had take out. We are going to stop in one afternoon and see what its like. I will take pics and review more then. Im sure we will be going soon. Update!! We just went for lunch the other day. I shoulda known with all the cars there that its good food. It is. If they dont go crazy increasing prices like some do we will be a regular there. Calzone was great. Fresh spinach and could tell they knew what they were doing making it. Wings were amazing! Asked for them crispy got honey bbq and we topped em with Texas pete for a sweet heat and they were perfect! . they have specials going on each day. Gonna be my place to go for sure. Only thing i wish u could get a full order of wings . they only give you 8 for $12. Thats a bit high i get them other places for less so they could add 2 more wings to their orders.
Tavern 42 is the perfect place to go. The food is incredible, staff treats you like family, and they have fun events throughout the week. I recommend the Alfredo Pasta with Grilled Salmon!!
This place was a pleasant surprise. Outdoor seating and indoor seating, bar, booths, high top tables, and regular tables. A fair amount of TV's located inside with games on.
Everyone liked their meals and we all agreed that we'd go back if we're in the area.
