Tavern 42 is an extremely popular local watering hole. They seem to always be busy and do a fine job of being just creative enough with their menu options to not be just your run of the mill bar food restaurant. Their menu is a good value with few minuses (like how rediculously small their cole slaw servings are. It's cabbage and mayo folks, not gold and frankincense).
Parking can be a struggle, at times. They take care with carryout. Their outdoor seating is pleasant, weather permitting. Service and atmosphere is very laid-back so don't expect great attentiveness, but the waitstaff are friendly and pleasant. Good for a casual night out of you hanker for an American food style menu options.

The food is amazing. Haven’t had anything that we didn’t love. The pizza is exceptional (our favorites are Wild Bill, Anthony’s Special and the Stanwood).

Great food and great service. Has a nice, relaxed feel. Great place to just go for a quick bite or sit and chat with fam/friends. They're attentive, but not overbearing. The food service is fast and they don't rush you out when you're finished. Highly recommend the mussels with white sauce, hoagie, bacon boy, T42 burger, lumberjack, nachos, loaded fries and just about any pizza on the menu.

This is an unassuming place in a small outbuilding on Hwy 42, which is under construction, but don't let that stop you! The food here is legit. I only deducted a star for atmosphere because it ain't fancy and it's always busy with limited seating. The food, however, is worth the hassle.
Hubby ordered the pizza, which was spicy and crispy from their new pizza oven. He said the spice level was just right, and it looked delish! I couldn't sample it to confirm because of an allergy to some of the ingredients, but he ate almost all of it so I will say that's a huge endorsement.
I ordered the Garlic Parmesan wings, and now I will never order them anywhere else. They douse their wings in tons of chopped FRESH GARLIC and FRESHLY GRATED PARMESAN and either olive oil or butter. Most other places use some type of pre-made sauce, but this wing sauce was absolutely made fresh, and the wings were juicy with just the right level of crispiness on the outside. I can't wait to try their Korean BBQ wings next.

My family and I love getting takeaway from this place! The pizza (tavern 42 special), the burgers, and the Louisiana chicken sandwich are all favorites of ours. The homemade ranch is also some of the best I’ve ever had. The service is always friendly & despite how busy they always are, the time they quote you on the takeaway order is always spot on & it’s always correct! If you haven’t given this place a try I would certainly recommend.

Tavern 42 is the perfect place to go. The food is incredible, staff treats you like family, and they have fun events throughout the week. I recommend the Alfredo Pasta with Grilled Salmon!!

Typical bar grill atmosphere. Parking is at a premium for handicapped. I've been to eat in three times and the food is great. I had clams and spaghetti with red sauce. I got a dozen clams...yummy Price is comparable to other like food restaurants. I'll go back!!!
