The Barn Cafe

Found it to be very pricey for breakfast. Two of us, eggs, sausage, toast, and home fries, we normally pay around $20 just about anywhere else; bill came to $45 with tip. Portions are generous, I think... Could just appear to be since it's all piled on a medium sized paper plate with your plastic fork and knife. Seems to be another order at the counter, prepay, self service beverages, and drop the ball in quality and customer service restaurant that seems to be popping up all over the place. Personally I feel that when you pay ahead no one puts forth any effort to make sure you are happy or to earn that tip. To finish up our expensive breakfast we got to clean up our table like we were dining in a public cafeteria.

This place was great! Delicious food and coffee. **Update 11/29/21** I wrote my initial review after my first or second visit to The Barn, after having just moved into the area. We've since visited 20? 30? 40?! times! I wish I could give them 100 stars. Aside from the exceptional food, awesome atmosphere, and amazing maple lattes, their staff is phenomenal. Josh, the owner, is seriously a stand up guy. He's friendly, he's funny, and you can tell with every interaction that he loves The Barn and it's customers. He's always behind the counter working, busting his rear like everyone else! They have a *really* great team there - never less than a great experience with everyone I've interacted with. I recently reached out to see if they could make a birthday cake for my niece and nephew's birthday. It was literally the best cake ordering experience of my life. The baker I spoke with (I *think* it was Christy but I'm SO SORRY if I remembered the name wrong!) was so fun to chat with, and the cake was better than I could have asked for. Confetti cake, purple frosting, sprinkles, the kids LOVED IT. The look AND the taste! Point is, GO HERE. You won't be sorry.
