I ate here for the first time today, it was amazing. I had the Philly Steak sub. I've had a lot of Philly Steak sub's from other places but I've got to say this is the best one I've had. Now that I'm working up here in Clare. I can't wait for lunch tomorrow I'm getting the same thing. The waitress was also very nice and accommodating. I even tried to find something to be "nit picky" about as I am a very very picky eater for example of Mac & Cheese doesn't look like what it does on the box. I'm not touching it. That is how picky I am. I couldn't find anything wrong.

We had a fantastic time st the post bar located in the alley behind Cops and doughnuts and Heart of Michigan cafe in Clare. This hidden gem has outdoor seating, big screen TVs and on the night we were there kareoke. Great people and an outdoor grill on a summer evening. Who could ask for more. There are many great places to meet and hangout with friends in Clare and this is certainly one of them.

First timers my wife and I...we had a few cocktails and the pork nachos and wings. We enjoyed both and would order again. Our server was super nice and efficient. The atmosphere is small town small bar... what we expected and hoped for. We had a great time and plan to visit again.

Best pulled pork nachos I have ever had. Great place and the staff was awesome. I have been recommending The Evening Post to my friends and family ever since we stopped in a few weeks ago. I will stop here again next time I am in Clare.

Altogether it was pretty good. The asain and parmesan garlic wings were really good. Fries where nice and crunchy and they hamburger egg rolls also were pretty good. The service wasn't the greatest especially with how slow it was.

Service was GREAT! We really liked our food and prices were very reasonable. I had broasted chicken and a side salad. My husband had their Chicken Wing Wednesday night special - a buck per wing. He said the Asian Chili sauce was better than the Bourbon BBQ. It’s a bar atmosphere, which we knew and is acceptable, but I lowered the rating because there were 3 people - a man and 2 women - at the bar who seemed to need to yell all the time we were there. Really obnoxious. I’d definitely go back if in the area!
