The food itself is 5 stars—absolutely delicious, authentic, and fresh Chinese food—but I give it 4 stars because they don’t offer free tap water (isn’t that a given??) and noodle portions are quite small, especially for the price point. That said, the Chinese crepe is divine, full of cumin and other spices, and the noodle soup has a rich, complex, spiced flavor. We also got the mushroom cabbage baos which were made on the spot and delicious!
Edit for quarantine: they have a very clean, safe set up for pick-up with plexi glass and plastic, and a box with two openings to pay and retrieve your order. The food was still delicious (just be sure to get shaved noodles for the time being if you want them made in restaurant since the person who hand pulls the noodles is not currently working to reduce the number of employees in the restaurant). I work in a hospital and I was so impressed by their safety measures.
This place is a must visit if you enjoy any form of Asian cuisine! They have so many options and everything is made from scratch and done extremely well. I especially love the ramen and bao buns. I have tried several flavors of each and haven’t had anything less than delicious every time. I have always been able to get two meals out of the ramen (it reheats well!) and everything is fairly priced. Definitely check it out if you haven’t!
Excellent food at a reasonable price. Reminded me of some restaurants I saw in Singapore.
We had the shrimp and pork dumplings along with noodles and braised pork belly. It was very good.
Stopped here for dinner while traveling. Excellent choice! Great homemade Chinese style noodle dishes with tasty broths. I have an MSG intolerance so they made me a special broth dish. Tried the herbal drink (in a can) and it was really good.
Great authentic hand pulled noodles. You can see the chef pulling fresh noodles. The dumplings are fresh and juicy.
This pretty much instantly became one of my favorite restaurants in the entire greater city area. Hand pulled noodles - on site - very genuine flavor and quality ingredients. The neighboring restaurant seems to be owned by the same family and is clearly Sichuan, but the actual menu for this place seems to be more Lanzhou. To my knowledge this makes it unique until you start getting up north closer to Dayton. More importantly, the flavors and textures are completely on point. This restaurant not only individually is excellent, It also fills what I considered to be a gaping hole in the local food scene. It's a must visit if you enjoy or are curious about Chinese cuisine.
Delicious buns! Tried the pork with onions, highly recommended. Made to order. Good bubble tea.
Soup was a little plain for my taste, but dumplings was amazing. Very fresh and tasty.
This unassuming little restaurant is smack in the middle of a strip mall and you'd never know it was there unless you were looking for it. And you should definitely look for it. The kitchen is open to the dining room, so you can see your dumplings and noodles being made fresh while you wait. My dumplings and bao came out steaming hot, and were delicious. Perfect for cool nights or any time when you need to warm up.
First. I have nothing local to compare this with. So accept that
Very good, very savory. Variety of soups. My beef was great. There was a side of possibly pickled cucumbers that was great.
Each bowl is roughly 10 dollars and big enough to share.
