I love this place, everything about it. I get cool, nostalgic, and unique candy and popcorn gifts for coworkers and clients - definitely my go to for that. Very friendly and welcoming staff, I love walking around the square and dropping in for some ice cream/treat.
I wish I could give 10 stars. I don't know what's better...DJ or the popcorn. Oh and the candy...dear Lord. This is my new FAV place on earth :)
Enjoyed Patty's Cincy Style, Cookies & Cream, and Movie Butter Popcorn for a business meeting snack! All in individual bags and it was a hit with the group! Great Customer Service!
I love stopping into Patty's Old Fashioned Popcorn whenever I'm in Hyde Park Square; it's such a throwback little shop with fun snacks, and not so surprisingly, they have fantastic popcorn! What I never expected was that Patty's would be integral to my wedding planning process as I started to identify welcome gifts for our out-of-town guests. As my goal was to put together an overflowing bag of Cincinnati goodness, Patty's staff worked with me on specialty/miniature popcorn bags (go-to flavor: Cincinnati style!). They were the perfect addition to our welcome bags. Don't go to Hyde Park without making a stop!
My wife Kim and I are popcorn afficionados, and this place is pretty much the best popcorn we've had.
We have some favorites in Chicago. This is better.
It looks to be small batch tossed and the seasonings are of the highest quality.

Stopped in the shop on Sunday and was so pleasantly surprised by the Cincinnati style and Chicago style popcorn. Looking forward to shopping here often. The Chicago style was even better than the original straight from Chicago.

Nice guy who works here always has a smile and is fun to talk to. Good fresh popcorn with quality toppings . Cute aesthetic , and tons of old time candy as well as shaved ice as big as what you get at the circus but without the price .
If you're a popcorn lover, don't pass this place up! So many varieties to try, so far all that we've tried are fantastic! The Cincy Style - white cheddar and carmel - has to be my favorite. We also have gifted some bags of popcorn to friends at Christmas. The interior of this store is so neat and you'll definitely be tempted by all the candy too. The owner is so friendly and fun to chat with. ๐๐๐๐๐
Our first visit was great, very friendly staff which helped us find some great popcorn gifts. The flavor we wanted was sold out, and they were made another batch while we waited. I finished about half the popcorn on my way back to Lexington but will definitely stop by the next time I am in Cincinnati.
Wonderful experience going in here and love the old-timey candy store vibes. They have EVERYTHING- jelly beans, chocolates, popcorn, caramels, sour candy, sweet candy, regular candy, and old candy you can't find anywhere like Chick o' Stick. The owner was in there when we stopped in (we live in neighborhood, walking by and smelled popcorn and went in) and he was soo knowledgeable about candy/candy manufacturing and gave great suggestions. He seemed willing to talk about any of the candy he has in his store and why he loves it! Will definitely be going back!
