The general Yao’s was over cooked and the peas in the rice were still hard the staff more than made up for the food I would come again with out hesitation and just maybe order something else

Stopped in to try it out one Saturday. Just note that they don't open until 1p on Saturdays. Really good food. I had the Sichuan Chicken and the kids had Lo Mein and Sweet & Sour Chicken. All had a great taste for a very affordable price. Will definitely be going back! Smaller on the inside and casual. I can see this becoming a regular stop for carry out on the way home.

I always order from here. They have the best sweet and sour chicken and bourbon chicken. I also love their egg rolls. Always nice. And food is always ready when they say it will be. Good prices for the amount of food you get

This place is great for takeout, but I would not recommend dining in. The food is good and I am extremely picky about the quality of ingredients, freshness, visual appeal, etc. Ordering online is convenient and delivery is usually pretty fast even with the wide area. They don't skimp on the protein either and if you ask for extra veggies, more peas in your fried rice, whatever, they're accommodating. It's my favorite Chinese takeout place.
That being said, when you walk in, the atmosphere doesn't exactly say "eat here." There's a turtle tank that doesn't scream "clean" and it's apparent that most of their food is eaten as takeout. That's okay though, as long as their kitchen's clean, and I have yet to experience anything that would lead me to believe otherwise after about a year of dining here periodically, I recommend trying this place.

China One is our go to quick Chinese Food option. The family is super nice and they have hands down the best white rice! Always nice to see the kids doing their school work or playing piano!

The people are great there. I've been getting the vegetable Mai Fun with extra vegetables and it is great. I've also had the general Tsao chicken and beef lo mein. Both of those are really good as well. I'm also very picky about my egg drop soup but theirs is fantastic

I love this place, my husband not so much. He says it's basic. But few places offer Mei Fun. The chicken on a stick is delicious.

I love this place. I used to work right by it. Ate there quite often. Mei Fun is not something all Chinese places have. Theirs is the best. Staff members are very nice.

Fast, solid, and friendly American Chinese place. Recommend the Mongolian Beef, Beef with Broccoli, and Shrimp Egg Foo Young.

Good food that is cooked while you wait for take out. They give healthy size servings as well. Go there often.

Good, quick Chinese food. I order carry out from there fairly frequently and it's always great.

Easily the best Chinese food around.
The owners and cooks are friendly, always treating you with a smile, and they always take care of their regulars

Very tasty and crispy lunch special. Eating in leaves a little to be desired. Prompt service and tasty food.

The food was great and the owners were warm and friendly. I'll definitely be going back!

The food was delicious! I ordered delivery and it arrived on time and accurate.

A bunch of us in my office ordered lunch from here today. First of all the delivery was about 20 minutes late even though we ordered more than an hour before we needed it. I haven't had a chance to ask everyone else how their lunches were, but I ordered the Moo Goo Gai Pan lunch special with white rice and an egg roll and I am thankful for the egg roll because it was the only thing that had any flavor and the reason I gave them a 1 rating. I think they may have put plain water on it instead of gravy/sauce. I had to put salt on it for it to have any flavor at all. Ironically, the learn Chinese word in my fortune cookie was yan which means salt. This is only the second time I have ordered from here, the first time was ok, not great. There will not be a third time.

Don't waste your money here. Horrible food, horrible customer service. You better like what you order, because if not, they will not let you return it and demand you pay for it. Had lunch today with my nine year old daughter and she wanted teriyaki chicken. Our server suggested chicken-on-a- stick. Looked like yesterdays leftovers...hard to chew and very dry. My daughter tried to suffer through it because she was starving, but to no avail. I tried it, and spit it out in my napkin. I took it up to the counter, expressed my complaint and asked if we could get something else. "No" she replied, and I won't give you your money back. You can box it up and take it home, and order something else but you'll have to pay for it, as rudely as possible. Dumbfounded at the response, I immediately grabbed my daughter, paid and left. I then proceeded to call and ask for the manager and left my phone number. I still have not been responded to. I have worked in the restaurant industry for many years and am extremely tolerant when I go out to eat. But, the food was visibly bad, and they did nothing to rectify the situation. Not to mention, it was a child eating it!! There are plenty of decent Chinese restaurants to eat at...don't waste your money at this one.

Worst Chinese food I've had, bar none!!. The food at China One is shockingly bad! We ordered the sweet and sour pork, and chicken lo mein, what arrived was tiny bits if oily styrofoam, with a side of red sugar water, and mushy noodles with no flavor, or vegetables. Their "food" was inedible. It is worse than any mall or frozen Chinese I've ever had. So disappointed!

Food was not terrible, but it was NOT good. Nothing we ordered (wonton soup, crab Rangoon, pork lo mein, sesame chicken) tasted decent. A lot of it went in the garbage. Sad, since arrive was great, they deliver, and you can order online.

Finally a great and affordable Chinese restaurant nearby!

China Bum. I agree with the former review. I got the gereral tzo as well and would have been better off eating pinecones with some Louisiana sause on them. more fat than chicken and the rice was utterly tasteless. It's like all the calories and aftermath of chinese food without the great taste. lackluster and overpriced!

Will never eat here again. Ordered General Tso's chicken. I received a plate full of overly breaded pieces of chicken gristle and fat. Tasted horrible. Told manager that I did not want the food and didn't want to pay for it. He told me I was wrong because everyone else likes the General Tso's Chicken. Offered to charge me half price for my uneaten "food." After a bit of prodding he finally decided not to charge me for the uneaten food.
Horrible experience. Do not eat here. Just go to the Walmart and buy one of those PF Chang frozen meals. that will taste better and cost less.

Pretty darn good food, and a good deal!. I went around the same time the negative reviewer did, and I agreed... then. However, recently we gave China One another try, and it's changed a lot for the better! I noticed they don't have the same people running the place, so I wonder if it's under different management. We've gone pretty regularly ever since.

The curry chicken is savory and spicy, and the combo fried rice is nicely done. I also like their general tso chicken. They also have edamame now, which is perfectly steamed and salted.

Sometimes when we go they set a complimentary dish on the table for everyone to share, and that's always a nice thing. In general, the people running it now are friendly and seem like they really love what they're doing.

Recently they added sushi to the menu, along with a lunch sushi deal of two rolls and a miso soup for under $8. Can't beat that. I'll be going for lunch for sure!

Ernest P Worrel said it best "EEWWWWWEWEEEEEEWWWWWWW. Two trips to China One is all it took for me to know I'll never go back. OK. I'll say somethin nice. It's clean. Verging on pristine. Now for the rest. Fried Rice, sort of a staple and supposedly impossible to mangle. HATED IT!!!! Bland, dry, undercooked rice. Al dente is fine... stale hard is not. The meat is pre cooked and re heated.." I had chicken Fried rice" 2 or 3 bean sprouts and a couple of peas... mabye. That was the best of the 5 menu Items I tried on my two visits.
I suppose I'll leave Pad Thai to the Thai's because China one sure had an interesting recipie. Noodles, RE HEATED PREVIOUSLY COOKED CHICKEN, and a couple pieces of scallion and I think chiken broth. THAT'S it. No peanuts, No fish sauce, No lemon, No sugar, No hot peppers. This was embarrasingly horrid. I even went back the next day to ask the owner if what I had took home was really what they call Pad Thai or had there been a mistake. I got what they make.. YUMMY! The there was the Shrim ShanHai Mai FUn. Twas curry powder, noodles and reheated meat. The Shrimp oddly seemed freshly cooked. It was dry, pasty and for the most part tasteless other than the zing heat from the curry. Then there were the pork eggrolls. LOTS of ROLL but very little inside filling. Chewy, gummy and again, almost tasteless.
So sad that a little strip plaza that has the Stellar El Jinete at one end has this sad little "other" restaurant at the other end. FIRST WOK is 4 min. away in Hyde Park plaza and infinately better..... Go there if you want decent Chinese food.

American-Chinese restaurants, with their brightly lit panel of 70s-style food photos aglow above a dingy brown faux-wood Formica counter, are a dime a dozen. Located in a strip mall next to the Red Bank Road Super Wal-Mart, China One started off with the potential for being an above average example.

We're now becoming "regulars" to the Wal-Mart on Red Bank. I have to admit - I never ever EVER went to it when it was in my 'hood of Pleasant Ridge but this one is much nicer. 9 times out of 10 - we're going around lunch time - and there are quite a few s
